ROUNDUP: Ellenberg paces Gaels in win at Tournament of Champions (Ariz.)

Aaryn Ellenberg scored 31 points Saturday, and Bishop Gorman’s girls pulled away in the second half to defeat Westbury Christian (Texas), 76-59 in the Tournament of Champions in Phoenix.
 
Zhane Dikes added 14 points for the Gaels, who held a 35-29 lead at the half.
 
Chelsie Pitt had nine points and eight rebounds for Gorman, which made 18-of-23 free throws.
 
Gilbert (Ariz.) 67, Centennial 65 — At Phoenix, Centennial rallied from a 54-43 deficit to pull within 66-65 with four seconds remaining, but came up short against Gilbert in the Tournament of Champions.
 
Gilbert made one of two free throws, and the Bulldogs missed a shot just before the buzzer.
 
Alexis Byrd led Centennial with 25 points. Shannon Brown added 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Ashley Klemz scored 14 points for the Bulldogs.
 
White Pine 58, Pahranagat Valley 41 — At Ely, Samantha Hibbs and Alex Hall each scored 13 points to help White Pine down the Panthers.
 
Hallie Lewis led Pahranagat Valley with 16 points.

BOYS
Green Valley 59, Cedar (Utah) 46 — At Green Valley, Glenn Bewley had 15 points to lead the Gators past Cedar.
 
Keiannte Wilkins added 10 points for Green Valley.
 
Needles 56, River Valley (Ariz.) 43 — At Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Michael Hills had 16 points, nine assists and four steals to lead the Mustangs to the win at the Lake Havasu Holiday Classic.
 
Anthony Ramos chipped in 16 points, six assists and four assists for Needles.
 
Mohave (Ariz.) 61, Needles 59 — At Lake Havasu City, Ariz., the Mustangs fell despite 18 points from Ramos.
 
Hills scored 14 points, and Aaron Burns had 14 points and 12 rebounds for Needles.
 
Lake Havasu (Ariz.) 68, Needles 52 — At Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Andrew Mathews scored 14 points in a loss for the Mustangs.
