ROUNDUP: Faith Lutheran edges Moapa Valley in boys basketball

Faith Lutheran’s boys basketball team rallied from a five-point deficit in the final minute of regulation to force overtime and come away with a 77-75 win at Moapa Valley on Friday night.
The Crusaders clinched the Class 3A Southern League regular-season title and the No. 1 seed for the league tournament.
After trailing by four points in the final 30 seconds of overtime, Moapa Valley’s attempt at a game-winning 3-pointer rimmed out on its final possession.
Chase Saunders led Faith Lutheran with 17 points. Brett Lubbe, John Anger and Greg Thomas each added 15 points for the Crusaders.
Max Jenkins had 29 points and seven rebounds to lead the Pirates. Brad Weiss added 19 points, and Shaun Hilton contributed 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Faith Lutheran was 24-for-44 from the free-throw line.
Three players fouled out for Moapa Valley, including two starters.
Western 58, Clark 52 — At Western, Melvin Washington had 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Warriors over the Chargers.
Deion Harrell added 13 points and Johnnie Diggs 11 for Western.
Rabbit Toler scored 20 and Steven Dancy 19 for Clark.
Valley 73, Chaparral 64 — At Valley, Johnquez Brooks scored 23 points as the Vikings defeated the Cowboys.
Jimmy Videaux added 14 points and Alonzo Blount 12 for Valley.
Chris Goodloe scored 22 points for Chaparral.
Sierra Vista 86, Bonanza 77 — At Sierra Vista, the Mountain Lions outscored the Bengals 32-18 in the fourth quarter to pull away.
Quinten Chow scored 24 points to lead Sierra Vista. Amir Garrett added 14 points, Akeem Smith 12 and Ray Tapusoa 11 for the Mountain Lions.
Andrew Whiting and John Grady each scored 21 points for Bonanza, which was 16-for-37 from the free-throw line.
Bishop Gorman 84, Desert Oasis 59 — At Desert Oasis, Shabazz Muhammad and Kylel Coleman each scored 14 points as the Gaels defeated the Diamondbacks.
Anson Winder scored 10 points for Gorman.
Cameron Mich’l scored 21 points and Cameron Jefferson 11 for Desert Oasis.
Spring Valley 72, Pahrump Valley 45 — At Pahrump, Anton Stallworth had 19 points to lead four Grizzlies scorers in double figures.
Corey Clement added 16 points, Esteban Gonzalez 13 and Jordan Hattar 10 for Spring Valley.
Marvin Weekly had 23 points for Pahrump.
Boulder City 49, Virgin Valley 41 — At Boulder City, Joey Western hit 7 of 8 free throws in the fourth quarter and finished with 16 points to lead the Eagles past the Bulldogs.
Jeremy Smith added 10 rebounds for the Eagles, who grabbed a 28-12 halftime lead.
Terran Leavitt led Virgin Valley with 12 points.
Agassi Prep 71, West Wendover 47 — At Agassi Prep, DeShawn Battle scored 27 points to lead the Stars over the Wolverines.
Quincy Brown had 17 points and nine rebounds and Jacoby Whitehead 12 points for Agassi.
Brandon Hoston scored 16 points for West Wendover, and teammate Drew Arrien scored 14, including three 3-pointers.
Needles 101, Lincoln County 72 — At Needles, Darra Russell had 29 points, seven rebounds and five assists as the Mustangs rolled.
Stevie Kidd added 25 points and four assists for Needles, which won its 18th consecutive game.
Eric Rippetoe led the Lynx with 26 points.
Calvary Chapel 61, White Pine 53 — At Calvary Chapel, Dario Rahming had 16 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Lions over the Bobcats.
Joel Feigler had 15 points and 11 rebounds for Calvary Chapel.
Russ Manzonie scored 17 points for White Pine.
Lake Mead 74, Beatty 53 — At Lake Mead, Landon Littlefield and Alex Mayorga each scored 13 points for the Eagles in their win over the Hornets.
De’Quan Thompson added 12 points for Lake Mead.
Joe Serrano made five 3-pointers, all in the fourth quarter, to finish with 15 points for Beatty. Ivan Maldonado scored 14 points for the Hornets.
Pahranagat Valley 66, Round Mountain 37 — At Alamo, the Panthers outscored the Knights 14-2 in the first quarter on their way to the rout.
Cody Hoiser paced Pahranagat with 14 points. Brady Whipple added 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Tommy Williams contributed 12 points and nine boards.
Clint Wilson and Joe Swoope scored 12 points each for Round Mountain.
Trinity 65, Sandy Valley 18 — At Tarkanian Middle School, Gage Neuwohner had 23 points as the Thunder rolled.
Budweiser Hawkins added 13 points for Trinity, which led 23-3 after one quarter and held Sandy Valley to one second-half point.
