ROUNDUP: Hardaway’s free throw springs Spartan boys past Sierra Vista

Donald Hardaway hit the game-winning free throw in the closing seconds Thursday to send Cimarron-Memorial’s boys basketball team to a 71-70 home win over Sierra Vista.

J.C. Broussard had 23 points and 10 rebounds for the Spartans. Austin Garrison contributed 15 points, and Cody Newton scored 12 points for Cimarron, which got 11 points from Joe McKellar.

Larry Jones had 13 points, and Nino Florea and Mikko Balmes each scored 10 points for the Mountain Lions.

Desert Pines 75, Palo Verde 66 — At Palo Verde, Julian Jacobs had 22 points and nine rebounds to lead the Jaguars by the Panthers.

Trevion Turner had 16 points, and Coby Myles had 13 points and seven rebounds for Desert Pines, which got 10 points apiece from Malik Davis and Rammek Kleth.

Sunrise Mountain 92, Western 66 — At Western, A’Keem Ross led six double-figure scorers with 20 points as the Miners defeated the Warriors.

Zane Gibbs scored 16 points, and Shmarlio Tolliver added 14 points for Sunrise Mountain, which got 11 points from Jovan Kirtley and 10 points apiece from Ricco Lucas and Jason Ford.

Aldo Arpero led Western with 25 points.

Basic 74, Silverado 65 — At Basic, Jaylen Rose scored 16 points, and Isaiah Villaros added 13 points to lead the Wolves to a victory over the Skyhawks.

Devonte Boyd added 10 points for Basic, which used a 17-6 first quarter spurt to pull away.

Isaiah Glover paced Silverado with 20 points, and teammate Raven Russell supplied 16 points.

Tech 53, Rancho 43 — At Rancho, Elijah Robertson had 16 points to lead the Roadrunners by the Rams.

Josiah Thompson led Rancho with 10 points.

Cherry Creek (Colo.) 66, Durango 51 — At Durango, Graham Pingree had 20 points to lead the Bruins past the Trailblazers.

Sam Stoveall scored 16 points, and Will Bower contributed 12 points for Cherry Creek.

Da’jon Streeter led Durango with 14 points. Chris Mellor scored 12 points and Dartangan Rollins added 11 points for the Trailblazers.

Mojave 64, Bonanza 49 —
At Legacy, Marcus Hines and Jahlonn Williams each had 11 points to lead a balanced attack as the Rattlers topped the Longhorns in the Legacy Tip-Off Classic.

Jai’Angelis Stevenson and Jason Wallace each scored 10 points for Mojave.

Rio Justice Chandler led Bonanza with 12 points, and teammate Anthony Flores had 10 points.

Centennial 91, Canyon View (Utah) 66 — At Legacy, Malcolm Allen had 30 points, and Marcus Allen scored 29 points to lead the Bulldogs to a win in the Legacy Tip-Off Classic.

Eddie Davis had nine points for Centennial, which led 52-27 at the half.

Nate Jarvis led Canyon View with 16 points.

Clark 86, Legacy 67 — At Legacy, Sherron Wilson scored 24 points, and Diontae Jones had 23 points to lead the Chargers past the Longhorns in the Legacy Tip-Off Classic.

Sir Washington added 13 points, and Malcolm Davis scored 12 points for Clark.

Donavon Gray hit eight 3-pointers and scored 24 points to lead Legacy. Gray had seven 3-pointers in the first quarter as Legacy took a 26-22 lead.

Javon Peterson added 14 points for the Longhorns.

Faith Lutheran 67, St. Aloysius College (Australia) 32 — At Legacy, Sam Stevens had 12 points, and D’Khari Hicks and Austin Ortwein each scored 11 points to help the Crusaders win their opening game in the Legacy Tip-Off Classic.

Brea Olinda (Calif.) 72, Agassi Prep 35 — At Legacy, Jonathan Wallace had 12 points to lead Brea Olindo over the Stars in the Legacy Tip-Off Classic.

Dennis Walker scored six points to lead Agassi Prep.

Lone Peak (Utah) 72, Foothill 38 —
At Orem, Utah, the Knights jumped out to a 35-21 halftime lead and cruised past the Falcons in the Great Western Shootout.

Brannon Cresanto scored 12 points for Foothill.

Nick Emery and Eric Mika each had 17 points for Lone Peak.

Arbor View 71, Lake Havasu (Ariz.) 25 — 
At Yuma, Ariz., Justin Burks scored 21 points, and the Aggies raced to a 28-2 first-quarter lead on their way to an easy win in the Southwest Rotary Classic.

Terrell Butler scored 14 points, and Charles Porter added 11 points for Arbor View.

Boulder City 51, Lowry 44 — At Boulder City, Michael Kelso scored 15 points to help the Eagles top the Buckaroos.

Kaleb Bailey scored 12 points for Boulder City.

Josh Watterson scored 16 points to pace Lowry.

Adelson School 80, Calvary Chapel 68 —
At Adelson School, Robert Blackwell had 26 points and 10 rebounds to help Adelson School top Calvary Chapel.

Mendi Berrebi had 24 points, and Rom Izkovich added 15 points and 11 assists for Adelson, which got 11 points from Sean Perry.

Drew Hammond led Calvary Chapel with 26 points. Quintin Hank added 12 points, and Matthew Harney scored 11 for Calvary Chapel.

Vista Grande (Ariz.) 54, Mountain View 46 — At Yuma, Ariz., Sawyer Weddle and Quinn Price each had 17 points to lead the Spartans over the Saints in the Southwest Rotary Classic.

Joseph Guevarra had nine points, and Connor LeBoeuf scored eight points for Mountain View, which trailed 50-29 after three quarters.
