Roundup: Ian White’s double-double lifts Bonanza over Basic

Ian White had 25 points and 12 rebounds to lead Bonanza’s boys basketball team to an 84-67 home win over Basic on Friday.

Kendell Burrell scored a game-high 28 points for the Bengals, who outscored the Wolves 42-27 in the first half.

Nicolas Diaz scored 14 points, and Kadin Warner added 10 points for Bonanza, which got 10 assists from Trent Savage.

Joseph Ramirez scored 24 points to lead the Wolves, Demetrius Vigil added 12 points, while Kalauni Keyes and Isaiah James each scored 10 points.

Shadow Ridge 64, Mojave 63 — At Shadow Ridge, Garin McFarlane scored 28 points and was 15-for-22 from the free-throw line as the Mustangs edged the Rattlers.

Shadow Ridge’s Jacob Schilder also scored 12 points, and Josiah Cruz scored 10 points for the Mustangs.

Chris Jackson led Mojave with 22 points. Isaiah Harper scored 12 points, and Damon McDowell added 10 points for the Rattlers.

Del Sol 56, Chaparral 53 — At Chaparral, Tyrell Hampton scored 17 points to lead the Dragons past the Cowboys.

Kemani Wilks scored 14 points, and Nati Asfaw added 10 points for Del Sol, which led 32-29 at halftime.

Dejonte Allen scored 13 points to lead the Cowboys, and teammate Elijah Briggs added 10 points.

Sunrise Mountain 56, Somerset-Losee 43 — At Somerset-Losee, Tyree Hayes scored 18 points to lead the Miners past the Lions.

Destin Carwell added nine points for Sunrise Mountain, which used a 17-7 third-quarter run to pull away from the Lions.

Naurese Meno-Blackshear scored 14 points to lead the Lions. Johnny Bass and Johnelle Brantley each added 10 points for Somerset-Losee.

Sierra Vista 63, Valley 25 — At Valley, Isaiah Veal had 15 points to lead the Mountain Lions over the Vikings.

Sierra Vista’s Antonio McCoy added 13 points. The Mountain Lions led 20-6 after one quarter and outscored Valley 20-2 in the third quarter.

Omar Simpson led the Vikings with 13 points.

Silverado 59, Western 40 — At Western, the Skyhawks made 10 3-point field goals as they defeated the Warriors.

Silverado’s Martell Williams led all scorers with 15 points. Trevon Martin and Daryl Finley each scored 11 points for Silverado.

Keanu McGee led Western with 10 points.

Spring Valley 101, Channel Islands (Calif.) 65 — At Oxnard, California, James Webster scored 22 points and Jahlani Blair had 21 points to lead the Grizzlies to a victory over the Raiders.

Jaydyn Dalton added 18 points, and A’mari James scored 14 for Spring Valley.

Desert Oasis 72, Kofa (Ariz.) 59 — At Yuma, Arizona, Dominique Ford had 19 points to lead the Diamondbacks to the win in the Southwest Rotary Classic.

Nate Van added 17 points, and Janorris Sejour scored 12 for Desert Oasis, which took a 20-7 lead after one quarter.

Dobson (Ariz.) 58, Desert Oasis 45 — At Yuma, Arizona, Ford scored 14 points, but the Diamondbacks fell to the Mustangs in the Southwest Rotary Classic.

Cade Savell and Kaydyn Koch each scored 10 points for the Diamondbacks.

Lincoln County 60, Palo Verde Valley (Calif.) 49 — At Yuma, Arizona, Cody Zile had 19 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Lynx to the win in the Southwest Rotarty Classic.

Kamdon Lewis added 10 points for Lincoln County, which used an 11-2 third-quarter run to take control.

Cibola (Ariz.) 43, Lincoln County 41 — At Yuma, Arizona, the Raiders scored on a rebound basket at the buzzer to edge the Lynx in the Southwest Rotary Classic.

Zile and Kobe Kelley each scored 11 for Lincoln County.

Yuma (Ariz.) 59, Mountain View 20 — At Yuma, Arizona, Tyler Hamilton hit four 3-pointers and scored 20 points as the Criminals rolled past the Saints in the Southwest Rotary Classic.

Tyler Anthony led Mountain View with eight points.

Bishop Manogue 70, Faith Lutheran 60 — At Reno, Gabe Bansuelo had 26 points as the Miners beat the Crusaders in the Wild West Shootout.

Brevin Walter scored 16 points and Donavan Jackson 13 for Faith Lutheran.

Elko JV 38, Pahranagat Valley 37 — At Wells, the Panthers rally fell short in the fourth quarter in the Wells Rural Electric Tournament.

Preston Higbee scored 13 points for Pahranagat Valley, which outscored Elko’s junior varsity 15-7 in the fourth quarter.

Pahranagat Valley 52, Wells 39 — At Wells, Higbee had 18 points to lead the Panthers over the Leopards in the Wells Rural Electric Tournament.

Stockton Maxwell added 12 points for Pahranagat Valley.

Lake Mead Holiday Classic

Moapa Valley 50, SLAM Academy 47 — At Lake Mead, Derek Reese led the Pirates with 20 points as they defeated the Bulls.

Lucas Walker had 16 points for Moapa Valley, which led 38-28 after three quarters.

Jalen Cunningham led SLAM Academy with 20 points.

Boulder City 78, West Wendover 63 — At Lake Mead, Karson Bailey led all scorers with 26 points to lead the Eagles over the Wolverines.

Derrick Thomas had 19 points, Matt Morton had 15 points, and Ethan Speaker scored 14 for Boulder City.

Calvary Chapel 61, Tech 55 — At Calvary Chapel, Blake Box had 22 points to lead the Lions over the Roadrunners.

J.J. Robinson added 21 points for Calvary Chapel.

Yoel Ghebrekristos scored 19 points to lead Tech.

The Meadows 50, Virgin Valley 31 — At Lake Mead, Obinna Ezeanolue led all scorers with 19 points as the Mustangs defeated the Bulldogs.

Joe Epstein added 18 points for The Meadows.

Virgin Valley’s Will Barnum and Daxon Toone each scored nine points.

American Prep 62, Lake Mead 47 — At Lake Mead, Ke’Shawn Hall scored 23 points as American Prep defeated the Eagles.

American Prep’s Jaycob McBath added 13 points.

Donte Bristol scored 21 points, and Colson Madruga had 10 points for Lake Mead.

Fernley 48, Calvary Chapel 39 — At Calvary Chapel, the Vaqueros topped the Lions.

Box scored 13 points, and Robinson had 11 points for Calvary Chapel.
