ROUNDUP: Kohn leads Gator boys in upset at Coronado

Devan Kohn scored 27 points Thursday to lead Green Valley’s boys basketball team to a 64-55 road victory over Coronado.

The loss dropped the Cougars into a three-way tie for first in the Southeast League with Foothill and Silverado at 9-2. Green Valley is a game back at 8-3.

Durrell McDonald added 18 points, and Ikaika Pladera scord 12 for the Gators.

Lamar Walker led Coronado with 22 points, and Dominique Muhammad scored 10 for the Cougars.

Liberty 58, Basic 49 — At Basic, Kyle Kaleb had 14 points, and the Patriots outscored the Wolves 18-4 in the fourth quarter en route to the win.

Elijah Graves added 12 points, and Jeremy Lontayao scored 10 for Liberty.

Jaylen Rose led Basic with 17 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four steals. Devonte Boyd added 15 points, and Andrew Lopez scored 14 for the Wolves.

Silverado 68, Del Sol 48 — At Del Sol, Justin Johnson and David Ware each scored 17 points as the Skyhawks defeated the Dragons.

Ruben Jackson added 15 points for Silverado, which took a 22-10 lead after one quarter.

Lael Perkins had 12 points for Del Sol.

Foothill 91, Tech 55 — At Foothill, Leo Goodman and Tyler Roberts each scored 14 points as the Falcons rolled past the Roadrunners.

Frankie Campbell supplied 10 points and 10 rebounds for Foothill, which got 10 points from Gary Reed and seven assists from Jalen Shepard.

Josh West paced Tech with 18 points, and teammate Tyler Walker scored 12 points.

Pahranagat Valley 58, Calvary Chapel 40 — At Calvary Chapel, Chase Hansen had 20 points and Austin Poulsen scored 13 to lead the Panthers past the Lions.

Drew Hammond scored 11 points for Calvary Chapel, and Bobby Buist supplied nine points and eight blocks.

GIRLS

Silverado 62, Del Sol 48 — At Del Sol, Jasmyn Garcia scored 17 points to help the Skyhawks top the Dragons.

Brittany Loguidice added 11 points for Silverado, which used a 20-4 second-quarter run to take control.

Desiree Orozco had 15 points to lead Del Sol, which led 15-13 after the first quarter.

Liberty 45, Basic 21 — At Basic, Alena Evans had 15 points to lead the Patriots past the Wolves.

Chanel Nacua added 12 points for Liberty, which outscored Basic 35-11 over the final three quarters.

Foothill 69, Tech 22 — At Tech, Anaya Rodisha and Bri Higgins each scored 14 points as the Falcons caught the Roadrunners.

Tanji Ajeto added 10 points for Foothill, which outscored Tech 29-4 in the third quarter.

Kristena Wilson led Tech with 19 points.

Pahranagat Valley 51, Calvary Chapel 31 — At Calvary Chapel, Halie Lewis scored 17 points, and Kimberly Lewis added 10 points as the Panthers downed the Lions.

Deja Harris had 21 points to pace Calvary Chapel.
