Roundup: Mojave breezes to victory in Kiwanis Invitational

Chris Jackson scored 13 of his 20 points in the first half Wednesday to lead Mojave’s boys basketball team to an 82-32 win over Rio Mesa (Calif.) in the Kiwanis Invitational in Ventura, California.

A.J. Woods scored 14 of his 19 points in the second half, and teammate Damon McDowell also scored 19 points for the Rattlers.

Arbor View 59, Camas (Wash.) 51 — At Seattle, Jaylon Lee had 11 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Aggies by the Papermakers in the Tournament of Champions.

Donovan Yap had 16 points for Arbor View. Favor Chukwukelu added 11 points, and Larry Holmes scored 10 for the Aggies.

Boulder City 66, Santa Fe (Calif.) 44 — At Orange, California, Karson Bailey had 17 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Eagles by the Chiefs in the Orange Holiday Classic.

Derrick Thomas scored 19 points, and Ethan Speaker added 14 points and 17 rebounds for Boulder City.

Whitney (Calif.) 67, Del Sol 55 — At Rancho Mirage, California, the Wildcats held off the Dragons in the Rancho Mirage Holiday Classic.

Damani Wilks led Del Sol with 16 points.

Mercer Island (Calif.) 66, Cimarron-Memorial 64 — At Rancho Mirage, California, Adam Parker had 19 points to lead the Islanders to a narrow win over the Spartans in the Rancho Mirage Holiday Classic.

Lukas Varney added 12 points for Mercer Island, which led 42-27 at the half.

Brian Lang paced Cimarron with 24 points. Noah Do and JaiTwan Golden each added 11 points, and Isaiah Armstrong scored 10 for the Spartans.

Salesian (Calif.) 55, Palo Verde 51 — At Palm Desert, California, the Pride rallied past the Panthers in the Rancho Mirage Holiday Invitational.

Kade Madsen led Palo Verde with 19 points. Sebastian Bejaoui added 11 points for Palo Verde, which led 32-24 at the half.

Santa Fe Christian (Calif.) 84, The Meadows 25 — At Solana Beach, California, Sam Dudley scored 16 points to help the Eagles rout the Mustangs in the Under Armour Holiday Classic.

Obinna Ezeanolue and Joe Epstein each scored eight points for the Mustangs.
