ROUNDUP: Molchon’s double-double helps Faith Lutheran boys sink Spartans

John Molchon had 21 points and 11 rebounds Friday to lead Faith Lutheran’s boys basketball team to an 80-73 win over visiting Cimarron-Memorial.
Sam Stevens added 15 points, and D.J. Manning scored 11 for the Crusaders.
Joe McKellar led the Spartans with 25 points. J.C. Broussard tallied 18 points, and Donald Hardaway added 16 points for Cimarron.
Cheyenne 65, Eldorado 64 — At Eldorado, Edward Shaw had 14 points, and the Desert Shields did all of their scoring in overtime from the free-throw line to nip the Sundevils.
Eldorado’s Jayveon Brown drained his fifth 3-pointer of the game with eight seconds left in overtime to pull the Sundevils within one. Eldorado forced a turnover, but had its inbound pass stolen to end the game.
Stephen Miller added 11 points and Jas Coulson scored 10 for Cheyenne.
Brown had 19 points, and Darrion Daniels scored 14 for Eldorado, which made just 8 of 26 from the free-throw line.
Desert Pines 82, Las Vegas 74 — At Desert Pines, Donavan Wright and Julian Jacobs each scored 10 of the Jaguars’ 32 fourth-quarter points as Desert Pines rallied from a 53-50 deficit entering the quarter to down the Wildcats.
Wright led Desert Oasis with 20 points, and Rameek Kleth added 15 points. Coby Myles tallied 11 points, and Jacobs scored all 10 of his points in the final period.
Roberto Zavala had 19 points, and Juwan Major scored 18 for the Wildcats. Leo Goodman added 12 points, and Re’Kwon Smith tallied 10 points for Las Vegas.
Mojave 71, Shadow Ridge 60 — At Mojave, Jason Wallace had 21 points and 10 rebounds to help the Rattlers top the Mustangs.
Mojave trailed 50-46 going into the fourth quarter, but outscored Shadow Ridge 25-10 in the final eight minutes.
Devin Flowers added 18 points, and Marcus Hines had 16 points and six assists for the Rattlers.
Terell Bowden paced Shadow Ridge with 18 points. Jordin Williams added 17 points, and Serph Decker scored 12 for the Mustangs.
Bonanza 63, Rancho 50 — At Bonanza, Cameron Ladson scored 21 points, and Rio Chandler added 18 points to lead the Bengals over the Rams.
Joseph Ortiz scored 15 points, and J’men Eagles scored 12 for Rancho, which got 10 points from Josiah Timpson.
Arbor View 92, Western 51 — At Western, Justin Burks scored 16 of his 27 points in the first quarter, and the Aggies raced to a 61-30 halftime lead on their way to a rout of the Warriors.
Brandon Hill scored 16 points, and Charles Porter had 11 points for the Aggies, who got 10 points from Corey Moore.
Travis Dunn scored 17 points, and Darion Murray had 14 points for Western, which got 10 points from Aldo Arpero.
Tech 47, Pershing County 40 — At Hawthorne, Josh West had 17 points and six rebounds, and the Roadrunners overcame a 31-21 deficit early in the second half to down the Mustangs in the Serpent Classic.
Bryan Catenza added 13 points and four steals, and Elijah Robertson had 12 rebounds for Tech.
Virginia City 49, Tech 43 — At Hawthorne, the Muckers topped the Roadrunners in the Serpent Classic.
Tyler Gardenhire led Tech with 12 points.
Virgin Valley 73, Truckee 33 — At Winnemucca, Garrett Leavitt drained five 3-pointers during a 32-5 fourth-quarter run that allowed the Bulldogs to rout the Wolverines in the Lowry Invitational.
Leavitt finished with 32 points, including seven 3-pointers, for Virgin Valley, which led only 27-20 at the half.
Dee Bowler added 21 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the Bulldogs.
Pine View (Utah) 70, Moapa Valley 46 — At St. George, Utah, Jack Bangerter scored 15 points to lead the Panthers over the Pirates.
Justin Hughes scored 13 points, and Landon Willard added 10 points for Moapa Valley.
Mountain View 83, Beatty 44 — At Mountain View, Joseph Guevarra made five 3-pointers and finished with 18 points to help the Saints blitz the Hornets.
Matt Larson had 14 points, and T.J. Kissinger scored 11 for Mountain View, which got 10 points apiece from Connor LeBoeuf and Tevin Gray.
Jake Zamora paced Beatty with 19 points.
