ROUNDUP: Prosise, Laughlin boys stall Mustangs

Averie Prosise scored 12 points Saturday to help Laughlin’s boys basketball team hold off Needles for a 28-25 home victory.
The Cougars turned the ball over with 3.4 seconds to play, giving Needles one final chance. But Brett Smith blocked a potential game-tying 3-pointer to seal the win.
Devin Truscott had 11 points for Needles.
Beaver Dam (Ariz.) 48, Sandy Valley 34 — At Sandy Valley, Kyle Martinez scored 18 points to power the Diamondbacks over the Sidewinders.
James Rau had 14 points for Sandy Valley.
Pahranagat Valley 54, Beatty 31 — At Alamo, Austin Poulsen scored 18 points to lift the Panthers past the Hornets.
Tyler Higbee chipped in 13 points for Pahranagat, which outscored Beatty 23-11 in the final two quarters to secure the win.
Carlos Gomez paced the Hornets with 12 points.
GIRLS
Pahranagat Valley 51, Beatty 35 — At Alamo, Traci Strong had 29 points and six assists to power the Panthers over the Hornets.
Bailee Hosier added 15 points for Pahranagat Valley, which used an 18-3 second-quarter run to take a 30-18 halftime lead.
Melynda Gross led Beatty with 13 points.
Lincoln County 46, Lake Mead 23 — At Lake Mead, Kourtney Gloeckner scored 15 points as the Lynx downed the Eagles.
Megan Watkins led Lake Mead with nine points.
Needles 47, Laughlin 22 — At Laughlin, Lexus Rodriguez had 12 points, and the Mustangs opened the game on an 18-0 run en route to the win.
Abby Chandler added nine points for Needles.
Diana Durazo paced Laughlin with eight points.
