ROUNDUP: Rose guides Basic past Valley boys

Jaylen Rose ahd 22 points and eight assists and hit a go-ahead free throw with 10 seconds to play to give Basic’s boys basketball team a 77-75 win over visiting Valley on Monday.

Chandler Kamai scored 14 points, Devonte Boyd had 13 points and Ryan Diggs added 10 points and eight rebounds for Basic.

Cameron Burton led Valley with 16 points. Ryan Johnson scored 14 points, Daniel Young had 13 points and Spencer Mathis scored 12 for the Vikings.

Clark 70, Canyon Springs 59 — At Clark, the Chargers led 38-25 at the half and held on to defeat the Pioneers.

Diontae Jones scored a game-high 22 points to lead Clark. Sir Washington had 17 points, and Malcolm Davis scored 10 points for the Chargers.

Shaquile Carr paced Canyon Springs with 13 points. Jerryon Sueing and Tim Straghter each scored 11, and Chris Nelson added 10 points for the Pioneers.

Cheyenne 51, Desert Oasis 42 — At Cheyenne, Stephen Miller led a balanced attack with 11 points to help the Desert Shields down the Diamondbacks.

Juwan Washington had nine points and seven rebounds, and Edward Shaw supplied nine points, seven assists, five rebounds and two steals for Cheyenne.

Dustin Schwartz paced the Diamondbacks with 10 points.

Virgin Valley 62, Silverado 46 —
At Mesquite, Tyson Teerlink had 25 points and nine rebounds to lead the Bulldogs over the Skyhawks.

Teerlink scored 15 points in the third quarter to help Virgin Valley outscore Silverado 23-9 to take a 48-33 lead.

Dee Bowler added 10 points and five assists for the Bulldogs.

Joe Baldi led Silverado with 22 points.

Green Valley 76, Spring Valley 40 — At Green Valley, Ikaika Pladera had 19 points and seven steals to help the Gators rout the Grizzlies.

Tyler Roberts had nine points, and Kenan Hayward added eight points and nine rebounds for Green Valley, which outscored Spring Valley 44-17 in the second half.

Travis Walton led the Grizzlies with seven points.

Sunrise Mountain 62, Agassi Prep 51 —
At Agassi Prep, Zane Gibbs had 19 points, and the Miners broke out to an 18-3 first-quarter lead on their way to a win over the Stars.

Shmarlio Tolliver added 11 points for Sunrise Mountain.

Jordan Smith paced Agassi Prep with 18 points, and teammate Darryone Hatcher scored 10.
