ROUNDUP: Starr shines as Foothill boys claim tourney title

Austin Starr drained six 3-pointers and finished with 26 points Saturday to lead Foothill’s boys basketball team to a 59-49 win over Kapolei (Hawaii) in the championship game of the Merv Lopes Hoops Classic in Honolulu.
Torrance Littles added 17 points, including five in a two-second span in the final minute, and eight rebounds for the Falcons.
Chris Dillard had 17 points, and Josh Wills added 12 points for the Hurricanes.
Cimarron-Memorial 63, Century (N.D.) 56 — At Gillette, Wyo., Donald Hardaway tallied 22 points to lead the Spartans by the Patriots in the third-place game of the Gillette Energy Classic.
Justin Lewis and Austin Garrison each added 17 points for Cimarron, which had Hardaway and Garrison named to the all-tournament team.
Tyler Rudolph led Century with 14 points.
Bishop Gorman 67, St. Rita (Ill.) 58 — At Myrtle Beach, S.C., Rashad Muhammad tallied 25 points, and the Gaels rallied from a 33-29 deficit to top the Mustangs in the Beach Ball Classic.
Noah Robotham had 15 points and six assists, and Trey Kennedy supplied 10 points for Gorman, which got eight points, 11 rebounds and six blocks from Stephen Zimmerman.
Dominique Matthews led St. Rita with 22 points.
Batavia (Ill.) 75, Centennial 65 — At Elgin, Ill., Jake Pollack tallied 25 points, and Batavia used a 24-12 third-quarter spurt to top Centennial in the third-place game of the Elgin High Holiday Tournament.
Mike Carlson added 13 points for Batavia.
Marcus Allen had 24 points, and Malcolm Allen scored 23 for Centennial.
Beverly Hills (Calif.) 65, Green Valley 59 — At Palm Springs, Calif., the Normans hit a pair of 3-pointers in overtime to turn back the Gators in the Maxpreps Holiday Classic.
Tyler Roberts had 17 points for Green Valley, including a game-tying layup with 10 seconds left in regulation. Troy Cropper added 13 points, nine rebounds and seven blocks for the Gators.
Cabrillo (Calif.) 77, Silverado 68 — At Palm Springs, Calif., the Conquistadores topped the Skyhawks in the Maxpreps Holiday Classic.
All-tournament team honoree Joe Baldi led Silverado with 15 points.
Elsinore (Calif.) 76, Boulder City 57 — At Menifee, Calif., Reynaldo Solorzano tallied 17 points, and the Tigers used a 37-18 run during the middle two quarters to top the Eagles in the third-place game of the Paloma Valley Winter Shootout.
Ydris Hicks added 15 points for Elsinore.
Kaleb Bailey paced Boulder City with 19 points.
Pahranagat Valley 64, Calvary Chapel 48 — At Alamo, Tyler Higbee scored 18 points, and the Panthers used a 17-7 second-quarter run to take control on their way to a win over the Lions.
Austin Poulsen added 15 points, and Mason Strirling scored 10 for Pahranagat Valley.
Riley Clark had 11 points, and Quintin Hank scored 10 for Calvary Chapel.
