Roundup: Valley gets by Western in overtime

Bryce Jones hit a go-ahead layup with 10 seconds to go in overtime to lift Valley’s boys basketball team to a 51-48 home win over Western.
Trey Harp’s steal led to Jones’ layup that made it 49-48, and Tommy Anderson added two free throws for the final margin.
Oscar Burns led Valley with 15 points. Jones had 14 points, and Anderson scored 12 for the Vikings.
Kizhonie Blunt led Western with 20 points, and Naadir Smith scored 13 for the Warriors.
Shadow Ridge 74, St. Kendrick’s (Australia) 18 — At Shadow Ridge, Richard Box had 16 points as the Mustangs rolled to the victory.
Chris Gerald added 14 points, Anthony Jaramillo had 11 points and Kion Thomas scored 10 for Shadow Ridge, which used an 18-2 second-quarter run to take a 37-7 halftime lead.
Spring Mountain 57, Lake Mead 38 — At Lake Mead, Shawn Shumpert had 18 points as the Golden Eagles beat the Eagles.
Donte Bristol led Lake Mead with 20 points.
