ROUNDUP: Wittwer leads Virgin Valley boys in rout of White Pine

Jason Wittwer had 19 points, seven rebounds and six assists Saturday as Virgin Valley’s boys basketball team routed visiting White Pine, 73-42.

Cameron Jensen added 13 points, and Beau Cloes and Brandon Cohen each scored 10 for the Bulldogs, who led 24-5 after one quarter and 42-17 at the half.

Michael Johnson paced the Bobcats with 11 points.

GIRLS

White Pine 52, Virgin Valley 36 — At Mesquite, Alex Hall scored 18 points, and White Pine used a 16-7 second-quarter burst to build a 28-17 halftime lead on its way to a win over the Bulldogs.

Rachel Morris led Virgin Valley with 12 points.
