Tarkanian Boys: Jaden Hardy, Coronado rally past Durango

Jaden Hardy scored a game-high 23 points to lead Coronado’s boys basketball team to a 75-61 victory over Durango in the Orleans Division at Desert Oasis on Saturday.

Tyrelle Hunt added 15 points for Coronado, which trailed 37-36 at halftime.

Anthony Hunter had 22 points for Durango.

Camarillo (Calif.) 78, Foothill 72 — At Desert Oasis, Jace Roquemore had 16 points, and Marvin Coleman scored 14 as the Falcons fell to the Scorpions in the Orleans Division.

Dylan Hushaw added 11 points for Foothill.

Four-star wing Jaime Jaquez had 38 points to lead the Scorpions.

Faith Lutheran 68, Sierra Vista 58 — At Bishop Gorman, Jaylen Fox scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Crusaders past the Mountain Lions in the Eastbay Division.

Brevin Walter and Dalton Kincaid each added 14 points for Faith Lutheran, which led 36-26 at halftime.

David Howard led Sierra Vista with 19 points. Isaiah Veal had 16 points, and Maitland Williams scored 13 for the Mountain Lions.

Arbor View 98, Westbury Christian (Texas) 97 — At Faith Lutheran, Favor Chukwukelu had a put-back layup with 17 seconds remaining to lift the Aggies to an overtime victory over the Wildcats in the Eastbay Division.

Larry Holmes had a put-back at the end of regulation to force overtime. Jarrod Burks scored 29 points to lead Arbor View.

Cameron Cohen led Westbury Christian with 38 points, while teammate Brant Burks added 22 points.

Democracy Prep 71, Price (Calif.) 68 — At Bishop Gorman, the Blue Knights defeated the Knights in the third-place game of the Gatorade Division.

Las Vegas 74, Woods Cross (Utah) 67 — At Desert Oasis, Donovan Joyner made 22 free throws and finished with a game-high 41 points to lead Las Vegas to a victory over Woods Cross in the Gatorade Division.

Jaylin Headen added 17 points for Las Vegas.

Dak Gorringe had a team-high 19 points for Woods Cross.

Bingham JV (Utah) 63, Palo Verde 53 — At Desert Oasis, Daniel Bellinger scored 18 points for the Panthers in their loss to the Miners in the Gatorade Division.

Caden Loerwald added 15 points for Palo Verde.

Myles Youngblood had 15 points for Bingham.

Mojave 53, Canby (Ore.) 29 — At Faith Lutheran, Chris Jackson scored 14 points as the Rattlers used a big second half to pull away from Canby in the Gatorade Division.

John Harper and Noah Sherrard added 11 points apiece for Mojave, which led 21-17 at halftime.

Layton Christian (Utah) 62, Basic 60 — At Faith Lutheran, the Wolves fell to the Eagles in the Gatorade Division.

Joseph Ramirez scored 20 points, including six 3-pointers, and Geoff Faries added 14 points for Basic, which hit 12 3-pointers. Basic had two possessions to tie the game in the final minute, but a turnover and a long 3-point attempt fell short.

Jesus Tomasi and Sano Gasana had 14 points apiece to pace Layton Christian.

Juneau-Douglas (Alaska) 60, Western 48 — At Faith Lutheran, Joseph Carr-Franklin scored 19 points in the Warriors’ loss to Juneau-Douglas in the Nike Division.

James Wade added nine points for the Warriors.

Juneau-Douglas was led by Erik Kelly’s 18 points.

La Salle Prep (Ore.) 68, Del Sol 55 — At Faith Lutheran, Keith Seldon scored 23 points in the Dragons’ loss to La Salle Prep in the Nike Division.

The Dragons trailed 38-16 at halftime and rallied to cut the lead to five late in the second half, but a final LaSalle run ended their hopes.

Nic Boyd paced La Salle Prep with 13 points, and teammate Nolan Grogan scored 12.

Desert Vista (Ariz.) 76, Desert Oasis 55 — At Bishop Gorman, Nate Van had 15 points, and Jacob Heese scored 10 in the Diamondbacks’ loss to the Thunder in the Select Division.

Kamari Burnside added nine points for Desert Oasis, which trailed 33-27 at halftime.

Wesley Harris led Desert Vista with 25 points.

Desert Pines 80, Godby (Fla.) 72 — At Desert Oasis, Lorenzo Brown scored 16 points to guide the Jaguars to a win over the Cougars in the Select Division.

Darius Mitchell and Dayshawn Wiley added 15 points apiece for Desert Pines, and Darnell Washington scored 14.

Liberty 80, St. Joseph (Calif.) 63 — At Desert Oasis, Cameron Burist scored 17 points, and Julian Strawther added 15 points to lift the Patriots past the Knights in the Select Division.

Terrance Marigney added 14 points for Liberty, which led 50-28 at the break.

Elihu Cobb had 22 points for St. Joseph.

Salem Hills (Utah) 79, Shadow Ridge 55 — At Desert Oasis, Timmothis Culverson had 12 points for the Mustangs in their loss to the Skyhawks in the Select Division.

Richard Box and Elijah Williams had 11 points apiece for Shadow Ridge.

James Nelson led Salem Hills with 28 points.
