VEGAS INVITATIONAL: Hisatake, Epstein lead Mustangs to win

Max Hisatake and Jake Epstein each scored 19 points Saturday to lead The Meadows’ boys basketball team to a 74-63 victory over Chadwick School (Calif.) in the Vegas Invitational at Mountain View.

Ethan Fridman added 18 points, and Asheesh Chopra scored 16 for The Meadows, which led 31-29 at halftime.

The Mustangs, who outscored the Dolphins 22-14 in the third quarter, shot 22-for-27 from the free-throw line to seal the win.

Ryan Apfel led Chadwick School with 24 points, and teammate Xavier Proctor scored 18.

Bonanza 69, Lake Mead 23 — John Holden led a balanced attack with 12 points as the Bengals routed the Eagles.

Jamal Logan added nine points for Bonanza, which got eight points apiece from DaVonta Price, Travis Jenkins and D.J. Fletcher. The Bengals led 22-9 after the first quarter and pulled away as 10 players scored.

Dylan Graham had a game-high 15 points, including 11 in the first half, for Lake Mead.

Fairmont Prep (Calif.) 70, Lake Mead 36 — Daniel Chatman led four double-figure scorers with 16 points as the Huskies topped the Eagles.

Allen Tao had 14 points, Billy Tran added 12 points, and Ramsey Glover scored 10 for Fairmont Prep, which led 32-20 at halftime before pulling away.

Graham had nine points for Lake Mead, which got eight points from Garion Glenn.

Bonanza 76, Fairmont Prep (Calif.) 41 — Price scored 23 points to lead the Bengals by the Huskies.

Logan added 14 points, and Holden scored 12 for Bonanza, which led 44-20 at halftime.

Tao led Fairmont Prep with 20 points, and teammate Daniel Chatman scored 10.

St. Joseph (Calif.) 64, Mountain View 44 — Scott McBeth had 15 points to help the Knights defeat the Saints.

Chris Barganier added 12 points for St. Joseph, which led 34-22 at halftime.

Connor LeBoeuf had 16 points for Mountain View.
