Williams-Goss carries Pilots to Iolani Classic title

Nigel Williams-Goss tallied 23 of his 28 points in the second half, including 15 in the fourth quarter, to lead Findlay Prep’s boys basketball team to a 61-53 win over La Lumiere (Ind.) late Saturday night in the championship game of the Iolani Classic in Honolulu.

Goss scored all but six of the Pilots’ second-half points as Findlay Prep (17-0) saw a 31-23 halftime lead shaved to 49-47 with less than 2:27 to go, but Goss and Allerik Freeman combined to score all of the Pilots’ points in a game-ending 14-6 run.
