BASKETBALL: Ybarra, Boulder City girls edge Sunrise Mountain

Alyssa Ybarra scored five of her 12 points in the fourth quarter Monday to help Boulder City’s girls basketball team rally for a 47-43 win at Sunrise Mountain.

Katlyn Daly hit four free throws in the fourth quarter for the Eagles, who trailed 38-34 after three quarters.

Deanna Manning had 12 points, 15 rebounds and five steals, and Brittany Veal added 12 points and seven assists for the Miners. Ayla Diaz supplied 10 points, and Tyrah Lee had 10 blocked shots for Sunrise Mountain.

Desert Pines 44, Tech 25 — At Tech, Chrystian Myles scored 12 of her 26 points during a 20-5 third-quarter run that lifted the Jaguars over the Roadrunners.

Jordan Bailey added 10 points for Desert Pines.

Clarissa Szluha, Ginalyn Biano and Christine Sweet each had five points for Tech.

Virgin Valley 55, Moapa Valley 36 — At Mesquite, Abbie Barnard had 17 points to help the Bulldogs down the Pirates.

Spencer Green added 10 points for Virgin Valley.

Makayla Jackson led Moapa Valley with 14 points.

Calvary Chapel 62, Mountain View 37 — At Calvary Chapel, Lianne Reyes had 26 points to help the Lions defeat the Saints.

Phallen Nelson added 18 points for Calvary Chapel, which led 19-8 after one quarter.

Kiley Murphy had 15 points, and Caitlyn Martin scored 10 for Mountain View, which made nine 3-pointers.

BOYS

Boulder City 36, Sunrise Mountain 32 — At Sunrise Mountain, Marcus Walker had nine points to lead the Eagles by the Miners.

Sam Woodbury hit two free throws with 11 seconds left to give the Eagles a 35-32 lead, and Sunrise Mountain missed a shot to tie the game.

Malik Cannon had 10 points for Sunrise Mountain.

Virgin Valley 64, Moapa Valley 50 — At Overton, Garrett Leavitt hit seven 3-pointers and had 31 points to lead the Bulldogs over the Pirates.

Dee Bowler added 15 points for Virgin Valley, which used an 18-7 second-quarter run to take a 25-10 halftime lead.

Justin Hughes and Lance Hilton each had 12 points, and Andrew Huerta scored 10 for Moapa Valley.

Desert Pines 78, Tech 33 — At Desert Pines, Re’meake Keith had 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Jaguars past the Roadrunners.

Trevon Abdullah added 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Coby Myles scored 12 points for Desert Pines. Dominic Deloney grabbed 12 rebounds for the Jaguars.

Alfonzo Sanchez-Guzman led Tech with 13 points.
