GIRLS BASKETBALL: Centennial coach Karen Weitz picks up 600th career win

Justice Ethridge scored 15 points Thursday to lead the Centennial girls basketball team to an easy 65-21 home win over Legacy.
It was Centennial coach Karen Weitz’s 600th career win, expanding on her own record as the winningest coach in Nevada basketball history, boys or girls. Weitz owns a career record of 600-77 in 21 seasons at Centennial and Cheyenne.
Eboni Walker had 12 points, and teammate Samantha Thomas added 11 points for Centennial.
Taeha Pankey scored seven points to pace Legacy.
Faith Lutheran 57, Cimarron-Memorial 51 — At Faith Lutheran, Bryanna Neagle scored 19 points to lead the Crusaders past the Spartans.
Kendall Larson scored 14 points, and Madison Bocobo added 13 points for Faith Lutheran, which took control of the game by outscoring the Spartans 14-7 in the third quarter.
Niara Smith scored 23 points to lead the Spartans, while Tasia Moore added 11 points.
Arbor View 75, Palo Verde 59 — At Arbor View, Kalli Hosier posted 20 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals, and the Aggies used a fast start to down the Panthers.
Autumn Westmoreland had 18 points, 11 rebounds, four steals, three assists and three blocks for Arbor View, which led 31-13 after the first quarter.
Madison Cvijanovich added 13 points, and Alaysia Reed had 12 points, six assists and six steals for the Aggies.
Palo Verde’s Madison Hall had 13 points to lead four players in double figures.
Kedrena Johnson had 12 points, and Ariana Davis and Abbey Hoegh each scored 11 for the Panthers.
Liberty 67, Green Valley 58 — At Green Valley, Kaily Kaimikaua scored 17 points, and the Patriots built a 37-15 halftime lead before holding off the Gators.
Dre’una Edwards added 14 points, and London Pavlica scored nine for Liberty.
Brooke Haney hit seven 3-pointers and finished with 28 points to lead Green Valley.
Pahrump Valley 31, Mojave 26 — At Mojave, Koral Hearn and Jill Smith each scored eight points to lead the Trojans past the Rattlers.
Kiara Lemon scored 14 points to lead the Rattlers.
Foothill 60, Silverado 27 — At Foothill, Rae Burrell scored 13 points, and Kylie Vint had 12 points as the Falcons defeated the Skyhawks.
Trinity Betoney had nine points, and teammate Keilani Brown added eight points for Foothill.
Sidni Wise-Wright scored eight points to lead Silverado.
Coronado 56, Basic 14 — At Basic, Payton Caci supplied 13 points and five steals, and teammate Haley Tyrell had 12 points, seven steals and six rebounds to lead the Cougars to an easy win over the Wolves.
Aeryn Hawkins added 11 points for Coronado.
Cheyenne 56, Western 27 — At Western, Ejanae Coopwood had 18 points on 8-for-13 shooting from the field, and the Desert Shields routed the Warriors.
Marisha Hawkins finished with 14 points and six assists, and Starr Hawkins added 11 points, nine rebounds and eight steals for Cheyenne, which opened the game on a 21-4 run.
Ja’Moni Brown led Western with 10 points.
Lake Mead 56, Calvary Chapel 33 — At Calvary Chapel, Shelbi Shaw and Jacea Tillman each scored 11 points to help guide the Eagles to victory over the Lions.
Allee Butz and Aaliyah Perkins each added eight points for Lake Mead.
Malia Lee led Calvary Chapel with 13 points.
Desert Pines 52, Sunrise Mountain 4 — At Desert Pines, See’Airrah Evans-Collins supplied 13 points, seven rebounds and five steals as the Jaguars routed the Miners.
Trisa Butler scored nine points, and teammate Elasjanae Burns had seven points for Desert Pines, which held Sunrise Mountain scoreless in the first and third quarters.
Needles 56, Mohave Accelerated (Ariz.) 15 — At Bullhead City, Arizona, the Mustangs took a 41-5 halftime lead before downing the Patriots.
