GIRLS BASKETBALL: Charleea Armstrong leads Mojave to win

Charleea Armstrong scored 18 points Friday to lead Mojave’s girls basketball team to a 45-41 win over Dixie (Utah) in the Lady Bulldog Invitational in Mesquite.

Savannah Blanchard-Davis added 16 points for the Rattlers, who led 17-3 after one quarter.

Kelsea Barker had 14 points for the Flyers, who outscored Mojave 14-8 in the fourth quarter but couldn’t complete the comeback.

Moapa Valley 49, Wells 25 — At Mesquite, Kinlee Marshall scored 15 points as the Pirates rolled past the Leopards in the Lady Bulldog Invitational.

Kaila Enosa added 12 points for Moapa Valley, which led 18-6 after one quarter.

Virgin Valley 41, Pahranagat Valley 18 — At Mesquite, Bernice Fiso scored nine points to lead the Bulldogs past the Panthers in the Lady Bulldog Invitational.

Abbie Barnum and Briana Todd each added eight points for Virgin Valley, which started the game on a 15-2 run.

Taylor Higbee and Alyson Egbert each scored five points to lead the Panthers.

Panguitch (Utah) 40, Pahrump Valley 28 — At Mesquite, the Bobcats beat the Trojans in the Bulldog Invitational.

Koral Hearn, Jill Smith and Jordan Egan each scored six points for Pahrump.

Desert Oasis 69, Rex Putnam (Oregon) 41 — At Desret Oasis, Ashlynn Sharp scored 22 points as the Diamondbacks rolled to the win in the Tarkanian Classic.

Dajaah Lightfoot added 16 points, and Mikala Kirby scored 11 for Desret Oasis, which led 41-21 at the half.

Kanani Kremers led Rex Putnam with 11 points.

Desert Oasis 67, Western 11 — At Desert Oasis, Lightfoot had 17 points as the Diamondbacks rolled past the Warriors in the Tarkanian Classic.

Melissa Simmons added 12points, and Kirby scored 10 for Desert Oasis, which led 46-7 at the half.

Lilian Tachiquin and Rai’na Davis each scored four to lead Western.

Coronado 50, Durango 28 — At Durango, Haley Tyrell led all scorers with 15 points as the Cougars beat the Trailblazers in the Tarkanian Classic.

Aeryn Hawkins added nine poitns for Coronado, which outscored Durango 34-18 in the second half.

Analiyah Matthews led the Trailblazers in scoring with 14 points.

Bishop Gorman 65, Silverado 18 — At Durango, Bentleigh Hoskins scored nine points to lead the Gaels in a rout of the Skyhawks in the Tarkanian Classic.

Samantha Coleman, Angelita Bugay and Gianna Gourley each scored eight points each for Gorman, which led 46-6 at halftime.

All 12 Gorman players scored.

Kimberlynn Tanner scored six points to lead Silveado.

Bishop Gorman 65, Boyd County (Ky.) 61 — At Durango, Georgia Ohiaeri and Caira Young each had 16 points as the Gaels held off the Lions in the Tarkanian Classic.

The Gaels pushed the lead to 12 in the second half before Boyd County rallied.

Skylar Jackson added 14 points for Gorman.

Savannah Wheeler led the Lions with 18 points.

Liberty 74, North Catholic (Pa.) 53 — At Durango, Dre’una Edwards had 28 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Patriots to the win in the Tarkanian Classic.

London Pavlica added 12 points, seven rebounds and seven assists for Liberty, which led 54-28 at the half.

Celine Quintino had 11 assists, and Kaily Kaimikaua had 12 points and five assists for the Patriots.

Green Valley 2, South Gate (Calif.) 0 — At Desert Oasis, the Gators won by forfeit in the Tarkanian Classic.

Liberty 2, Desert Pines 0 — At Durango, the Patriots beat the Jaguars by forfeit in the Tarkanian Classic.

Boulder City 46, Sunrise Mountain 19 — At Boulder City, Ellie Howard scored 10 points to lead the Eagles in a rout of the Miners.

Jerra Hinson, Madison Manns and Madisan Walker each scored six points for Boulder City, which led 29-10 at the half.

Emani White scored 13 points to lead the Miners.

Agassi Prep 66, Needles 54 — At Agassi Prep, Sharmayne Finley scored 26 points as the Stars topped the Mustangs.

Destiny Rover added 18 points for Agassi Prep, which outscored Needles 19-12 in the second quarter to take a 31-26 halftime lead.

Preslee Murch led the Mustangs with 18 points. Jayne Antone added 13 points, and teammate Valentina Limon scored 10 for Needles.

Lincoln County 50, Calvary Chapel 17 — At Calvary Chapel, Kailey Kelley scored 15 points to lead the Lynx in a rout of the Lions.

Kristal Jackson added 10 points for Lincoln County, which outscored Calvary Chapel 18-2 in the first quarter. The Lynx hit eight 3-pointers.

Malia Lee led Calvary Chapel with nine points.

Beaver Dam 46, Indian Springs 14 — At Indian Springs, Jailene Hernandez scored 23 points as the Diamondbacks beat the Thunderbirds.

Danielle Garlick added 14 points for Beaver Dam, which used a 16-2 second-quarter run to take control.

Martina DuBray led Indian Springs with four points.

Mountain View 36, Moapa Valley JV 30 — At Mountain View, Tayah De’Bouck finished with 17 points as the Saints defeated the Pirates junior varsity.

Nia Van Kempen added 10 points for Mountain View.

Legacy and Canyon Springs couldn’t keep up in the Class 4A girls basketball state semifinals. The Southern Region representatives in 3A also were eliminated.
