GIRLS BASKETBALL: Jacobs helps Gorman to tournament win

Megan Jacobs went 4-for-4 from the free-throw line down the stretch and finished with 11 points Thursday as Bishop Gorman’s girls basketball team rallied for a 51-46 win over Oak Ridge (Calif.) in the So Cal Holiday Prep Classic in San Diego.

Maddison Washington had 12 points for Gorman, which trailed 40-33 entering the fourth quarter.

Ali Bettencourt had 12 points for Oak Ridge.

Boulder City 56, Vista del Lago (Calif.) 36 — At Murrieta, Calif., Whitney Barlow had 17 points and 10 rebounds to help the Eagles top the Ravens in the Nighthawk Classic.

Alyssa Ybarra added 10 points for Boulder City, which led 33-14 at the half.

Thalia Carballosa led Vista del Lago with 12 points.

California (Calif.) 70, Sierra Vista 16 — At Anaheim, Calif., Michelle McQuiston had 18 points as California routed the Mountain Lions in the Savanna Invitational.

Danielle Morrow had 10 points for Sierra Vista.
