GIRLS BASKETBALL: Las Vegas clutch at line in victory over Valley

Las Vegas High’s Teconna Dyer scored 12 points Tuesday, and the Wildcats made 17 of 21 free throws to hang on for a 44-36 home win over Valley.
Armonnie Byrd added nine points and 17 rebounds for Las Vegas, which led 20-16 at halftime.
Sondra Scroggins led Valley with 10 points, and teammate Kiara Brown scored nine.
The Vikings finished 4-for-14 from the free-throw line.
Durango 54, Bonanza 31 — At Bonanza, Analiyah Matthews scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Trailblazers past the Bengals.
Laila Loring added 16 points for Durango, which jumped out to a 12-3 first-quarter lead.
Madie Gonzalez scored 12 points for Bonanza.
Boulder City 49, Tech 37 — At Tech, Madison Manns scored 12 points, and the Eagles made 11 of 12 free throws in the fourth quarter to earn a win over the Roadrunners.
Julia Worrall and Hannah Estes each added nine points for Boulder City, which made 18 of 22 free throws for the game.
Tayler Muwwakkil scored 10 points to pace Tech.
Moapa Valley 74, Del Sol 36 — At Overton, Kinlee Marshall led four players in double figures with 18 points as the Pirates defeated the Dragons.
Matilda Thompson added 17 points, Lainey Cornwall had 14 points and Madison Bush scored 11 for Moapa Valley, which led 43-25 at halftime.
Ana Ozuna led Del Sol with 16 points.
Spring Valley 62, Sierra Vista 30 — At Spring Valley, Essence Booker had 18 points and six assists to lead the Grizzlies past the Mountain Lions.
Kayla Harris added 13 points, eight rebounds and five assists, and Lynnae Wilds scored nine for Spring Valley, which finished with 19 assists and 22 steals.
Iymoni Burrell led Sierra Vista with seven points.
Virgin Valley 62, Chaparral 35 — At Mesquite, Emma Barnum and Bernice Fiso scored 13 points apiece to power the Bulldogs by the Cowboys.
Savannah Price had 10 points for Virgin Valley, which led 31-14 at halftime.
Sierra Shaw led Chaparral with 15 points.
Bishop Gorman 51, Clark 18 — At Gorman, Caira Young and Shaira Young each scored nine points to lead the Gaels past the Chargers.
Georgia Ohiaeri added eight points for Gorman, which led 20-2 after the first quarter.
Julie Reid led Clark with eight points.
Canyon Springs 57, Eldorado 10 — At Canyon Springs, Yemiyah Morris scored 12 points to help the Pioneers rout the Sundevils.
Dayonna Maddox added eight points for Canyon Springs.
Kiana Parkes scored five for the Sundevils.
Calvary Chapel 47, The Meadows 39 — At The Meadows, Nerel Martin scored 18 points to lead the Lions to victory over the Mustangs.
Malia Lee added 12 points for Calvary Chapel, which used a 15-7 fourth-quarter run to pull away.
Marcella Peek had 14 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists, and Avery Kokinda had 12 points to lead The Meadows.
Needles 51, Mountain View 14 — At Mountain View, Valentina Limon and Antone Jayne each scored 11 points in the Mustangs’ win over the Saints.
Preslee Murch added nine points for Needles.
Tayah De’Bouck scored five for the Saints.
Laughlin 41, Adelson School 13 — At Laughlin, Teresa Chapa scored 18 points to lead the Cougars by the Lions.
Amanda Miller added 10 points for Laughlin.
Hayden Jansen had five points for the Lions.
Beaver Dam 47, Word of Life 30 — At Littlefield, Arizona, Chyanne Dahlberg had 13 points, and Noemi Ruiz and Danielle Garlick each added 10 points as the Diamondbacks topped the Eagles.
Jailene Hernandez had eight points for Beaver Dam, which led 22-12 at halftime.
Arieyanna Banks had 15 points, and Taliyah Wilson scored 10 for Word of Life.
Round Mountain 72, Tonopah 33 — At Round Mountain, the Knights grabbed a 34-22 halftime lead en route to the victory over the Muckers.
