GIRLS BASKETBALL: Myles, Jaguars hand Eagles first Sunrise League loss

Chrystian Myles had 14 points and five steals Wednesday to help Desert Pines’ girls basketball team stun host Boulder City, 42-37.

See’Airrah Evans-Collins had 10 points and 15 rebounds, and Jordan Bailey added 10 points for the Jaguars, who handed the Eagles their first Sunrise League loss of the season.

Alyssa Ybarra paced Boulder City with 17 points.

Moapa Valley 39, Del Sol 38 — At Del Sol, Matilda Thompson converted a three-point play with less than a minute to go to allow the Pirates to nip the Dragons.

Kinlee Marshall led Moapa Valley with 16 points, and Thompson finished with nine points.

Azhwalaee Oliver poured in 18 points to pace Del Sol.

Western 38, Pahrump Valley 34 — At Pahrump, Destiny Gonzalez scored 19 points to help the Warriors stave off the Trojans.

Capricia Pierce added 15 points for Western, which bolted to a 13-3 first quarter lead.

Jill Smith had 11 points and nine rebounds, and Lauren Ashford supplied nine points for Pahrump.

Durango 52, Legacy 48 — At Durango, Brittany Romo scored 25 points to lead the Trailblazers past the Longhorns.

Aylin Ponce added 13 points, and Vonie Thomas grabbed eight rebounds for Durango, which led only 27-26 at the half.

Dani Livingston had 14 points, and TaEha Pankey scored 11 for Legacy, which made just 6 of 23 free-throw attempts.

Chaparral 51, Virgin Valley 33 — At Mesquite, Taij Criss-Felton tallied 15 points, and Abigail Delgado scored 10 points to help the Cowboys down the Bulldogs.

Jade Hazelton and Alexis Vanstory supplied nine points each for Chaparral, which led 24-14 at halftime.

Spencer Green had 15 points, and Kourtney Metzger scored 11 for Virgin Valley.

Faith Lutheran 62, Cheyenne 51 — At Faith Lutheran, Haley Vinson scored 25 points to guide the Crusaders to victory over the Desert Shields.

Madison Bocobo added 12 points for Faith Lutheran, which led 31-19 at halftime.

Da’Vione Lomax scored 17 points, and Bria Buchanan added 11 points for Cheyenne.

Clark 46, Sierra Vista 29 — At Clark, Bobbi Floyd had 24 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks to power the Chargers past the Mountain Lions.

Karlicia Stroughter scored 11 points, and Shyanne Carter-Wade grabbed 13 rebounds for Clark.

Kimayah Love paced Sierra Vista with seven points.

Sunrise Mountain 51, Tech 35 — At Tech, Nina Carpenter had 17 points to help the Miners down the Roadrunners.

Tyrah Lee and Whykella Haley each had 10 points for Sunrise Mountain.

Clarissa Szluha led Tech with 10 points.

Bishop Gorman 69, Shadow Ridge 25 — At Shadow Ridge, Raychel Stanley poured in 21 points as the Gaels secured the Southwest League title with a rout of the Mustangs.

Madison Washington added 14 points, and Megan Jacobs scored 13 for Gorman, which used a 39-6 run in the middle quarters to pull away.

Assana King led Shadow Ridge with six points.

Spring Valley 68, Mojave 43 — At Spring Valley, Essence Booker had 18 points, seven rebounds and six steals, and teammate Bria Hardin-Davidson added 17 points to lead the Grizzlies to a win over the Rattlers.

Lynnae Wilds tallied 10 points and 10 rebounds for Spring Valley, which raced out to a 35-14 halftime lead.

Charleea Armstrong and Keyara Lemon each scored 11 points for Mojave, which got 10 points from RayEna Rael.
