Girls Basketball Postseason Pairings

Southern Nevada's postseason girls basketball brackets were made official Sunday afternoon by the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association. The pairings changed Wednesday after Eldorado forfeited seven wins and was removed from the playoffs.

There were no changes to the playoff seedings in any of the four classes.

The playoff matchups are:

Class 4A
Sunrise Region Quarterfinals (all games are Thursday at 6:30 p.m.)

No. 4 SE Coronado at No. 1 NE Desert Pines
No. 3 SE Liberty at No. 2 NE Valley
No. 3 NE Las Vegas at No. 2 SE Silverado
No. 4 NE Rancho at No. 1 NE Green Valley

The Sunrise semifinals are Friday at 4 and 5:45 p.m. and final Saturday at 2 p.m. at Liberty.

Sunset Region Quarterfinals (all games are Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.)

No. 4 SW Sierra Vista at No. 1 NW Centennial
No. 3 SW Durango at No. 2 NW Palo Verde
No. 3 NW Legacy at No. 2 SW Bonanza
No. 4 NW Cheyenne at No. 1 SW Bishop Gorman

The Sunset semifinals are Thursday at 3 and 6:20 p.m. and final Friday at 5 p.m. at Palo Verde.

Both region champions advance to the state tournament. The Sunset and Sunrise region runners-up will meet on Feb. 23 at 5 p.m. at Palo Verde with that winner also earning a state bid.

Class 3A
Southern League Tournament (at Desert Oasis)

No. 4 Faith Lutheran vs. No. 1 Virgin Valley, Thursday at 6:20 p.m.
No. 3 Moapa Valley vs. No. 2 Boulder City, Thursday at 3 p.m.

The 3A league title game is Saturday at 6:40 p.m.
Both 3A finalists earn a state tournament bid.

Class 2A
Southern League Tournament (at Desert Oasis)

No. 4 White Pine vs. No. 1 Needles, Friday at 6:20 p.m.
No. 3 Mountain View vs. No. 2 Lincoln County, Friday at 3 p.m.

The 2A league title game is Saturday at 3:20 p.m.
Both 2A finalists earn a state tournament bid.

Class 1A
Southern Region Quarterfinals

No. 8 Henderson International at No. 1 Lund, Tuesday at 6 p.m.
No. 7 Trinity at No. 2 Pahranagat Valley, Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
No. 6 Lake Mead at No. 3 Round Mountain, Wednesday at 4 p.m.
No. 5 Tonopah at No. 4 Beatty, Wednesday, Wednesday at 6 p.m.

The semifinals are Friday at 3 and 6:20 p.m. at Durango.
The title game is Saturday at noon at Desert Oasis. Both 1A finalists earn a state tournament bid.
