GIRLS BASKETBALL: Trio helps Gaels to easy victory

Ciara Young, Madison Washington and Skylar Jackson each scored 14 points Saturday to help Bishop Gorman's girls basketball team to a 70-42 win over Mount Miguel (Calif.) in Spring Valley, Calif.

Megan Jacobs added 10 points for the Gaels, who used a 22-9 second-quarter run to build a 39-21 halftime lead.

Satera Bates paced the Matadors with 14 points.

Lincoln County 48, The Meadows 14 — At The Meadows, Savannah Harr had 13 points to help the Lynx down the Mustangs.

Hannah Hafen added 10 points, and Easton Tingey scored nine for Lincoln County, which led 32-6 at the half.

Marcella Peek led The Meadows with nine points.

White Pine 64, Calvary Chapel 18 — At Calvary Chapel, Emily Bischoff scored 17 points to lead the Bobcats in a rout of the Lions.

Ashlyn Huntington added 13 points for White Pine, which led 17-2 after one quarter.

Sara Hernandez led Calvary Chapel with 12 points.

Laughlin 44, Mountain View 28 — At Mountain View, Teresa Chapa had 13 points as the Cougars topped the Saints.

Amanda Miller had 12 points, and teammate Brittany Schelper added 10 points for Laughlin.

Nia Van Kempen led Mountain View with 12 points, and teammate Tayah De'Bouck scored 11.

Round Mountain 50, Pahranagat Valley 43 — At Round Mountain, the Knights downed the Panthers in a battle for first place in the Division IV Southern League.

Round Mountain is 6-0 in league play with two games left. Pahranagat Valley is 5-1 in the league.
