ROUNDUP: Arbor View rallies to edge Cheyenne

JaLeesa Williams’ jumper at the buzzer capped a big fourth-quarter comeback Thursday as Arbor View’s girls basketball team rallied for a 51-49 win over visiting Cheyenne.

Williams scored 13 of her 19 points in the fourth quarter, helping the Aggies overcome a 39-32 deficit.

Erika Lang added 16 points and 15 rebounds, and Jena Valenzuela had 11 points and 15 rebounds.

Sabrina King led the Desert Shields with 16 points. Taryn Hicks and Shaunice Cameron each scored 10.

Legacy 66, Cimarron-Memorial 63 — At Legacy, Kindrea Poole had 22 points, 16 rebounds and three blocked shots to help the Longhorns hold on for the win.

Breanah Manley added 20 points and nine rebounds for Legacy.

Cimarron’s Catherine Wyre had 20 points, Veronica Alcala 18 and Zerie Baptista 16.

Centennial 72, Mojave 30 — At Mojave, Alex Byrd scored 24 points and Deanna Daniels 23, and the Bulldogs built a 34-14 halftime lead and cruised to the win.

Johnna Brown supplied 11 points for Centennial.

Jazzmine Robinson scored 20 points for the Rattlers, and Clarrisa Cannon had nine rebounds.

Palo Verde 50, Shadow Ridge 28 — At Shadow Ridge, Nicole Ameli scored 11 points for the Panthers, who led 22-3 after the first quarter en route to an easy victory over the Mustangs.

Niki Lawson scored 11 points and Corine Owens had 11 rebounds for Shadow Ridge.

Green Valley 85, Del Sol 32 — At Green Valley, Jazmine Jarvis led five double-figure scorers with 18 points and had nine assists as the Gators routed the Dragons.

Sarah Pickus added 14 points, Danielle Christenson 13 and Aja Flippen and Vajae Robinson 10 each. Robinson also had six blocks. Angelica Mack added 10 rebounds.

Amy Austin went 17-for-22 from the free-throw line and scored 21 points to lead Del Sol.

Silverado 66, Liberty 45 — At Silverado, Shea Collins had 24 points and six assists to help the Skyhawks blow open a game that was tied at 13-13 after the first quarter.

Alena Evans added 17 points and nine rebounds for Silverado, and teammate Natalie Lainhart scored 12.

Destiny Whitehead paced the Patriots with 13 points. Phoebe Baker scored 10.

Foothill 40, Basic 24 — At Basic, Brigette Rigon scored a game-high 13 points as the Falcons downed the Wolves.

Michaela Thomas led Basic with 12 points.

Coronado 35, Tech 32 — At Tech, the Cougars made 13 of 19 free throws and came back from a 20-13 halftime deficit to defeat the Roadrunners.

Stacy Rapp scored 11 points for Coronado.

Mesha Phillips had a game-high 18 points for Tech.

Spring Valley 33, Clark 25 — At Spring Valley, Jessica Davis had 15 points and eight rebounds to help the Grizzlies rally past the Chargers.

Spring Valley outscored Clark, 20-11 in the second half.

Kearra Nesmith led the Chargers with eight points.

Bonanza 66, Pahrump Valley 62 — At Pahrump Valley, Shirley Pitts scored a game-high 29 points and Christin Figgins added 13 points, and the Bengals led 22-12 after the first quarter and held on to defeat the Trojans.

Kristi Daffer had 19 points and 11 rebounds and Casey Scheller had 18 points for Pahrump Valley.

Durango 52, Sierra Vista 50 — At Sierra Vista, Mia Bell scored nine of her team’s 12 points in the fourth quarter and finished with 35, and the Trailblazers held on to edge Sierra Vista.

In her last four games, dating to a double-overtime loss against Bonanza on Jan. 16, Bell has scored 48, 39, 37 and 35 points.

Jeanette Jackson and Nicolette Grigsby each scored 14 points to lead Sierra Vista.

Desert Oasis 42, Western 39 — At Western, the Diamondbacks survived a late fourth-quarter push to beat the Warriors.

Alexus Caulk had 13 points and Trini Morgan 12 for Desert Oasis, which took a 38-26 lead into the fourth quarter.

Daresheoyn Lee scored 14 and Michelle Simon 13 for Western.
