ROUNDUP: Bell nets 52 points as Trailblazers rip Chargers

Durango senior shooting guard Mia Bell poured in 52 points and had nine rebounds, seven steals and five assists Wednesday as the Trailblazers routed visiting Clark, 96-46.

Bell, who has signed a letter of intent to play at UNLV next season, surpassed her previous career high of 48 points, set on Jan. 16 in a 96-90 double-overtime loss to Bonanza.

Bell was 18-for-38 from the field Wednesday, including 5-for-11 on 3-point attempts. She also made 9 of 12 free throws.

After scoring 17 points in the first quarter, Bell was limited to two second-quarter points as Durango took a 35-25 lead at the break.

Bell added 14 points in the third quarter and finished with 19 points in the fourth quarter.

Cindy Klinholm added 11 points for Durango.

Angelena Cook scored 17 points to lead Clark.

Bishop Gorman 68, Sierra Vista 54 — At Gorman, Dannielle Diamant scored 11 of her 21 points in the third quarter, helping the Gaels open a 53-41 lead, in a victory over the Mountain Lions.

Chelsie Pitt added 17 points and Yahindra Edwards 13 for Gorman.

Jeanette Jackson led Sierra Vista with 31 points.

Bonanza 63, Desert Oasis 37 — At Bonanza, Christin Figgins scored 17 points and Daytrils Beals added 15 points and five steals to pace the Bengals’ win over the Diamondbacks.

Shirley Pitts supplied 12 points and Aimee Doyle 10 for Bonanza.

Auburn Smith led Desert Oasis with 16 points.

Pahrump Valley 58, Western 32 — At Pahrump, Kristi Daffer scored 20 points, and the Trojans bolted to a 24-8 first-quarter lead and breezed past the Warriors.

Alyson Kunzi added 14 points and Ashley Lindgren 13 for the Trojans.

Michelle Simon led Western with 10 points.

Centennial 85, Palo Verde 33 — At Centennial, Deanna Daniels led five double-figure scorers with 23 points, and the Bulldogs sprinted to a 45-14 halftime lead on their way to the rout.

Centennial’s Alexis Byrd added 17 points, Johnna Brown 15, Courtney Hayes 13 and Ashley Klemz 10.

Aundrea Perez paced the Panthers with 11 points.

Mojave 53, Shadow Ridge 35 — At Mojave, Jazzmine Robinson scored a game-high 18 points and Clarissa Cannon supplied 12 points and 11 rebounds to help the Rattlers down the Mustangs.

Shanae Ireland added 11 points and 12 rebounds for Mojave, which led only 15-14 at the half.

Niki Lawson led Shadow Ridge with 14 points.

Legacy 59, Cheyenne 46 — At Legacy, Kindrea Poole recorded 20 points, 15 rebounds and six blocks to lead the Longhorns past the Desert Shields.

Breanah Manley added 10 points for Legacy.

Sabrina King had 13 points, Taylor Bosley 12 and Shaunice Cameron 10 for Cheyenne.

Cimarron-Memorial 53, Arbor View 52 — At Arbor View, Catherine Wyre scored 11 of her 24 points in the fourth quarter to lift the Spartans past the Aggies.

Zerie Baptista added 14 points for Cimarron, which made 11 of 15 free throws in the fourth quarter.

Candice McFarland led Arbor View with 18 points.

Green Valley 60, Tech 36 — At Green Valley, Jazmine Jarvis scored a game high 19 points and Aja Flippen added 12 to help the Gators beat the Roadrunners.

Green Valley led 19-4 after one quarter and 38-11 at halftime.

Only three players scored for Tech, led by Cheryl Harless with 15 points.

Liberty 54, Foothill 43 — At Foothill, Jade Washington scored 18 points, and the Patriots used a 15-5 third-quarter run to beat the Falcons.

Destiny Whitehead added 14 points and Daynice Cochran 10 for Liberty.

Foothill’s Chantelle Monga, Desirae Ayala and Brigitte Rigon each scored nine points. Rigon also had 11 rebounds.

Basic 43, Del Sol 27 — At Basic, Micheala Thomas scored 16 points and Noemi Hernandez supplied 13 as the Wolves beat the Dragons.

Basic outscored Del Sol 27-4 in the middle two quarters, including 14-0 in the second.

Amy Austin led Del Sol with 13 points.

Silverado 49, Coronado 32 — At Coronado, Shea Collins scored a game-high 18 points to propel the Skyhawks over the Cougars.

Alena Evans added 11 points for Silverado.

Lindsay Decker and Jessica Smith each scored six points for Coronado.
