ROUNDUP: Big third quarter powers Eldorado past Las Vegas in girls basketball

Eldorado went on a 17-6 run to start the third quarter en route to beating visiting Las Vegas 42-38 Monday.
Las Vegas led by six at halftime but was outscored 27-17 in the second half.
Eldorado’s Sabrina Evans had 17 points, 10 rebounds and five steals. Princess Jervis grabbed 10 rebounds for the Sundevils.
Bri Johnson scored nine points to lead the Wildcats.
Bonanza 51, Spring Valley 33 — At Bonanza, the Bengals downed the Grizzlies to move to 9-0.
Christin Figgins scored 11 of her game-high 17 points in the first half to help Bonanza take a 30-17 halftime lead.
Figgins also had four assists and three steals. Daytril Beals added 15 points and five steals for the Bengals.
Chyna Wimberly led Spring Valley with 11 points. The Grizzles were just 7-for-23 from the free-throw line.
Pahrump Valley 67, Clark 35 — At Clark, sophomore post player Casey Scheller scored a game-high 21 points to power the Trojans past the Chargers.
Alyson Kunzi added 17 points for Pahrump Valley.
Angelena Cook and Alicia Wilbert each scored 10 points for Clark.
Desert Pines 59, Canyon Springs 37 — At Canyon Springs, Andrea Jefferson scored eight of her 20 points in the first quarter to help the visiting Jaguars get out to a 17-8 lead and pull away from the Pioneers from there.
LaBrea Walker added 13 points for Desert Pines. Kiki Boyles scored 11 and Clarissa Davis 10 for the Jaguars.
Skotasia Thomas led Canyon Springs with 14 points, and Kenosha Wright added 11 points.
Sierra Vista 56, Western 26 — At Sierra Vista, Jeanette Jackson led a balanced attack with nine points, and the Mountain Lions took a 19-3 first-quarter lead on their way to routing Western.
Michelle Simon led the Warriors with 10 points.
Valley 55, Rancho 41 — At Rancho, Vanessa Corona scored 13 points to lead the Vikings past the Rams.
Iris Barahona (11) and Audrey Doyle (10) also scored in double figures for Valley.
Khalia Branch scored 12 points for Rancho, which trailed 33-14 at halftime.
The two teams combined to shoot 17-for-44 from the free-throw line.
