ROUNDUP: Brown’s double-double springs Basic’s girls over Eagles

Jayla Brown had 12 points and 11 rebounds Thursday, and Basic’s girls basketball team used a 20-6 fourth-quarter run to rally for a 33-31 win over visiting Boulder City.

Dana Deloney added 11 points for the Wolves.

Whitney Barlow had 12 points for the Eagles, who used a 17-1 second-quarter run to take a 20-9 halftime lead.

Centennial 69, Silverado 21 —
At Centennial, Jada Brown had 12 points, and the Bulldogs bolted to a 33-2 first-quarter lead on their way to a rout of the Skyhawks.

Tamera Williams had 11 points for Centennial, which got points from 11 players.

Brittany Loguidice paced Silverado with 11 points.

Green Valley 48, Sierra Vista 25 — At Sierra Vista, Maggie Manwarren had 19 points as the Gators rolled past the Mountain Lions.

Kelsey Jimenez and Melia Tadytin each had six points to lead Sierra Vista.

Coronado 56, Palo Verde 39 — At Palo Verde, Sofie Cruz scored 23 points to help power the Cougars past the Panthers.

Ivana Ganeva had 15 points, and Amber Cornelius added 10 points for Palo Verde.

Desert Oasis 79, Eldorado 47 — At Desert Oasis, Sammi Tso and Tatiana Kearn each scored 20 points as the Diamondbacks downed the Sundevils.

Ashley Hibbard added 10 points for Desert Oasis.

Denisheun Jackson led all scorers with 22 points for Eldorado.

Faith Lutheran 55, Cimarron-Memorial 44 — At Cimarron, Taylor Hammer and Julia Benko each scored 11 points, and the Crusaders battled back from a 22-19 halftime deficit to top the Spartans.

Ikia Harper had 14 points, and Emily Cox scored 13 for Cimarron.

Liberty 41, Mountain View (Ariz.) 35 —
At La Jolla, Calif., Dayanni Cochran had eight points and 10 rebounds to lead the Patriots over the Toros in the opening round of the Sweet 16 Tournament.

Sydney Clark added seven points and four steals for Liberty.

La Jolla (Calif.) Country Day 61, Liberty 29 — At La Jolla, Calif., the host school downed the Patriots in the Sweet 16 Tournament.

Tali Pitt had six points for Liberty.
