Roundup: Centennial pulls away from California team

Justice Ethridge scored 18 points, and Centennial’s girls basketball team outscored Harvard-Westlake 33-23 in the second half to secure a 59-49 victory over the Wolverines in Stockton, California on Monday afternoon.
Jade Thomas added nine points for the Bulldogs, and Aishah Brown scored eight.
Spring Valley 72, Agoura (Calif.) 21 — At Sun Valley, California, Essence Booker had 16 points, eight rebounds, five steals and four assists as the Grizzlies ran away from the Chargers.
Chelsea Camara and Jalynn Webster each added 12 points, and Garrisen Freeman scored 10 for Spring Valley, which never looked back after grabbing an 18-6 first-quarter lead.
Millikan (Calif.) 75, Legacy 54 — At Gardena, California, Taeha Pankey scored 19 points, but the Longhorns struggled in the fourth quarter and lost to the Rams.
Rory Carter added 14 points for Legacy, and Maiah Yearwood scored 13.
Coronado 46, Cheyenne 43 — At Coronado, Tia Thornton scored a team-high 14 points to propel the Cougars past the Cowboys in the Las Vegas High School Invitational.
Teionni McDaniel scored a game-high 16 points for Cheyenne, which led 25-19 at halftime.
Las Vegas 2, Western 0 — At Coronado, the Wildcats defeated the Warriors by forfeit in the Las Vegas High School Invitational.
