ROUNDUP: Harper, Cimarron-Memorial girls outlast Longhorns

Taya Harper scored 17 points Tuesday to help Cimarron-Memorial’s girls basketball team rally for a 42-36 win over visiting Legacy.

Emily Cox added 16 points for the Spartans, who trailed 32-31 entering the fourth quarter.

Tori Payne had 14 points for Legacy.

Bishop Gorman 51, Desert Oasis 47 — At Desert Oasis, Tonishia Childress scored 19 points to help the Gaels edge the Diamondbacks.

April Rivers added 13 points, and Madison Washington scored 12 for Gorman, which led 37-25 at halftime.

Tatiana Kearn scored 24 points to lead Desert Oasis, which rallied to tie the score at 47 before the Gaels sealed it with late free throws. Sammi Tso added 13 points for the Diamondbacks.

Centennial 63, Bonanza 21 —
At Centennial, Tramina Jordan and Jada Brown each scored 12 points to help the Bulldogs roll past the Bengals.

Teirra Hicks added nine points for Centennial, which expanded a 38-12 halftime lead to 61-13 after three quarters.

Alyssa Powers led Bonanza with nine points.

Western 49, Pahrump Valley 24 —
At Western, Destiny Gonzalez had 17 points, 15 rebounds, six steals and four blocks to lead the Warriors past the Trojans.

Capricia Pierce and Guadalupe Herrera added 12 points apiece for Western, which cruised after trailing 2-0 entering the second quarter.

Kayla Skilling led Pahrump with seven points.

Cheyenne 57, Clark 44 — At Cheyenne, Lajuana Brown scored 17 points to help the Desert Shields defeat the Chargers.

Noni Barree added 16 points for Cheyenne, and teammate Bria Buchanan finished with 12 points.

Karllicia Stroughther scored 12 points to lead Clark, which got 11 points from Bobbi Floyd.

Boulder City 47, Chaparral 37 — At Chaparral, Katlyn Daly scored 13 points to lead the Eagles to a win over the Cowboys.

Whitney Barlow and Jana Williams each had 11 points for Boulder City, which used a 15-7 first quarter to its advantage.

Unique Wilson led Chaparral with 15 points.

Moapa Valley 56, Tech 17 — At Overton, Kimberly Lewis scored 19 points, and the Pirates jumped out to a 24-0 first quarter lead and went on to rout the Roadrunners.

Shelbie Gray added eight points for Moapa Valley.

Tech got four points each from Christine Sweet and Haylee Holsclaw.

Virgin Valley 59, Desert Pines 44 — At Mesquite, Abbie Barnard scored 18 points, and Alora Bonner added 17 points, as the Bulldogs cruised past the Jaguars.

Becca Bramlage added 11 points for Virgin Valley

Raven Thomas led Desert Pines with 16 points, and teammate Cydney Myles scored 13 points.

Faith Lutheran 43, Mojave 19 — At Mojave, Taylor Hammer scored 13 points to help the Crusaders defeat the Rattlers.

Julia Benko added 11 points for Faith Lutheran, which held Mojave to one third-quarter point and led 30-9 after three quarters.

Rayena Rael led the Rattlers with nine points.

Lake Mead 41, Laughlin 38 — At Laughlin, Taylor Badua-Kono scored 22 points to help the Eagles beat the Cougars.

Shannon Regan added 10 points for Lake Mead, which led throughout the second half.

Diana Durazo paced Laughlin with 23 points.

Calvary Chapel 41, Needles 37 — At Needles, Calif., Chloe Hammond made five 3-pointers and scored 19 points to help the Lions edge the Mustangs.

Phallen Nelson added eight points for Calvary Chapel, which sealed the victory on a 5-foot hook shot by Hammond in the final minute.

Abby Chandler led Needles with 21 points.

The Meadows 37, Mountain View 31 — At The Meadows, Melaney Mayes had 10 points as the Mustangs beat the Saints.

Delaney Gosse added nine points for The Meadows, which trailed 12-3 after one quarter but stormed back with a 13-3 second quarter.

Alley Cintron paced Mountain View with 10 points, and teammate Caitlyn Martin added eight points.

Indian Springs 49, Sandy Valley 15 —
At Indian Springs, Heather Thormahlen scored 23 points to power the Thunderbirds past the Sidewinders.

Natasha Cruz contributed 12 points, and Baylee McCormick added seven points for Indian Springs.

Mineral County 45, Round Mountain 29 — At Round Mountain, the Serpents defeated the Knights.

Morgan Manley had 11 points and six rebounds for Round Mountain.
