ROUNDUP: Jackson, Sierra Vista pull away from Western

Jeanette Jackson scored 20 of her 36 points during the first half, and Sierra Vista used a 22-6 third-quarter run to defeat Western 72-49 in girls basketball Monday.
Rebecca Perrault added 18 points for the Mountain Lions.
Daresheoyn Lee led Western with 16 points. Melanie Russell scored 15, and Tracy Parks had 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Pahrump Valley 57, Clark 18 — At Pahrump, Kristi Daffer compiled 23 points and 18 rebounds in the Trojans’ victory over the Chargers.
Casey Scheller scored eight of her 16 points in the first quarter when Pahrump held Clark without a basket.
Angelena Cook led the Chargers with seven points.
Bonanza 67, Spring Valley 56 — At Spring Valley, Christin Figgins scored 17 points, and the Bengals used seven 3-pointers to beat the Grizzlies.
Shirley Pitts added 15 points for Bonanza.
Chyna Wimberly scored 14 points and Jessica Davis 11 for Spring Valley.
Bishop Gorman 59, Durango 29 — At Gorman, Yahindra Edwards scored 11 of her 17 points during the first half, propelling the Gaels past the Trailblazers.
Gorman’s Aaryn Ellenberg scored all of her 13 points in the first half.
Mia Bell led Durango with 15 points.
Rancho 47, Canyon Springs 45 — At Canyon Springs, Khalia Branch scored 11 of her 21 points in the fourth quarter, including 4 of 4 free throws in the final 30 seconds, as the Rams held off the Pioneers.
Diamond Broadus led Canyon Springs with 12 points.
Valley 52, Chaparral 46 — At Chaparral, Vanessa Corona scored 24 points to help the Vikings recover from a 26-22 halftime deficit to defeat the Cowboys.
Desiree Pierce led Chaparral with 16 points. Gabrianna Vega added 14 points, seven rebounds and seven steals, and Natriana Shorter scored 13.
Desert Pines 67, Eldorado 27 — At Desert Pines, Andrea Jefferson scored 30 points and had 16 rebounds to carry the Jaguars past the Sundevils.
Clarissa Davis added 17 points and 20 rebounds for Desert Pines.
Sabrina Evans led Eldorado with 10 points.
Lake Mead 38, Indian Springs 22 — At Indian Springs, Jordan Clarke scored nine points in the Eagles’ win over the Thunderbirds.
Karys Melgoza led Indian Springs with eight points.
