Roundup: Liberty tops Green Valley in double overtime

Taysia Tovia scored 20 points on Monday as Liberty’s girls basketball team earned a 62-57 double-overtime victory over visiting Green Valley.
Starr Walker had 17 points for the Patriots, who trailed 25-20 at the half. Liberty improved to 8-0 in the Southeast League, and clinched the league’s top playoff seed.
Shelby Clark scored 30 points for Green Valley, which fell to 5-4 in the league.
Cimarron-Memorial 53, Arbor View 42 — At Arbor View, Yesenia Wesley-Nash led all scorers with 18 points as the Spartans defeated the Aggies.
The Spartans were 14-for-14 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter.
Cimarron’s Toavalu Leau added 13 points, and Elise Young scored 10 for the Spartans.
Amiya Lattomus led Arbor View with 11 points.
Foothill 70, Tech 36 — At Tech, Laurel Rockwood had 17 points as the Falcons pulled away from the Roadrunners.
Ryan Jenkins added 11 points for Foothill, which outscored Tech 19-5 in the third quarter to take a 48-26 lead.
Tayler Muwwakkil paced the Roadrunners with 12 points.
Coronado 55, Basic 35 — At Basic, Tia Thornton had 18 points as the Cougars defeated the Wolves.
Haley Morton added 13 points, and Gabbie Etopio scored 10 points for Coronado, which led 34-26 after three quarters.
Lauren Powell led Basic with 15 points.
Desert Oasis 56, Clark 16 — At Desert Oasis, Sierra Mich’l led all scorers with 10 points as the Diamondbacks defeated the Chargers to clinch the Southwest League’s top postseason seed.
Melissa Simmons added nine points, and Eliyjah Pricebrooks and Desi-Rae Young each scored eight for Desert Oasis, which opened the game on a 19-2 run.
Sunrise Mountain 57, Chaparral 27 — At Chaparral, Aiyana Ramirez scored 24 points to lead the Miners past the Cowboys.
Markaila McCurdy had 14 points for Sunrise Mountain, which led 29-9 at the half.
Brizeida Mora-Herrera scored 11 points for Chaparral.
Centennial 77, Palo Verde 9 — At Palo Verde, Aaliyah Ibarra hit five 3-pointers and had 15 points as the Bulldogs rolled past the Panthers.
Eboni Walker, Jade Thomas, and Taylor Bigby each scored 10 points for Centennial.
The Bulldogs held Palo Verde scoreless in the middle quarters and outscored the Panthers 52-2 over the final three quarters.
Boulder City 57, Sky Pointe 12 — At Sky Pointe, Ellie Howard had 17 points to lead Boulder City over Sky Pointe.
Setia Cox had 14 points, and Kailee Fisher and Hannah Estes each scored 10 for Boulder City.
Jayden Sanders had 10 points for Sky Pointe.
Calvary Chapel 47, Lake Mead 40 — At Lake Mead, Midajah McCarty had 21 points to lead the Lions over the Eagles.
Rebekah Fuller scored 11 points for Lake Mead, and teammate Shelbi Shaw had 10 points.
