ROUNDUP: Lyons’ layup lends Eldorado girls first win

Abayomi Lyons had 10 points Tuesday — including the game-winning layup as time expired — to lift Eldorado’s girls basketball team to its first win of the year, a 41-39 victory over visiting Rancho.

Johnice Green led the Sundevils (1-6) with 13 points.

Aisha Momodu had 13 points for the Rams.

Canyon Springs 68, Sunrise Mountain 30 — At Canyon Springs, Kenosha Wright scored 11 of her 17 points during a 25-8 second-quarter run that allowed the Pioneers to pull away from the Miners.

Faith Harper added 15 points for Canyon Springs.

Tiara Veal and Alicia Winchester each had six points for Sunrise Mountain.

Desert Pines 69, Chaparral 35 — At Desert Pines, LaBrea Walker socred a game-high 27 points to help the Jaguars down the Cowboys.

TaQuiyyah Boyles added 19 points and Cydney Myles had 12 for Desert Pines.

Jacquie Ferguson scored 12 points and Janae Neuville chipped in 10 for Chaparral.

Las Vegas 37, Valley 30 — At Las Vegas, Courtney Ladson had 10 points to help the Wildcats outlast the Vikings.

Jessica Walton had nine points for Valley.

Bishop Gorman 88, Western 32 — At Western, Aaryn Ellenberg had 26 points and Amber Lane  24 as the Gaels pounded the Warriors.

April Rivers supplied 18 points for Gorman, which led 41-12 at halftime.

Michelle Simon had 15 points, and Daresheoun Lee scored 10 for Western.

Durango 49, Spring Valley 45 — At Durango, Jasmine Thomas scored 17 points, and the Trailblazers took a 42-27 lead into the fourth quarter and held off the Grizzlies.

Megan Tullis added 10 points and Cherelle Hicks pulled down 10 rebounds for Durango.

Lauren Bugni had 15 points and Jessica Davis added 12 for Spring Valley.

Desert Oasis 55, Clark 33 — At Clark, Tatiana Kearn scored 22 points, and the Diamondbacks used a 30-17 run during the middle two quarters to cruise past the Chargers.

Sammi Tso added 12 points, and Auburn Smith had 10 points for Desert Oasis.

Kiara Nesmith led Clark with 11 points.

Sierra Vista 59, Pahrump Valley 46 — At Sierra Vista, Jeanette Jackson had 13 of her 30 points during a 26-7 third-quarter run that propelled the Mountain Lions past the Trojans.

Alyson Kunzi led the Trojans with 13 points. Toi Simmons scored 12 and Ashley Lindgren added 10 for Pahrump.

Centennial 80, Shadow Ridge 39 — At Shadow Ridge, Alexis Byrd had 32 points to lead the Bulldogs past the Mustangs.

Shannon Brown added 18 points and Courtney Hayes had 17 for Centennial.

Elisha Hensey led Shadow Ridge with 11 points.

Palo Verde 58, Cimarron-Memorial 30 — At Cimarron, Aundrea Perez scored 13 points to lead the Panthers to an easy win over the Spartans.

Jasmin Kiley added 11 points, and Dominique Bryant had 10 for Palo Verde.

Tyler Simpson led Cimarron with 14 points.

Legacy 58, Arbor View 48 — At Legacy, Aubriana Hayes scored 16 points and had seven assists to power the Longhorns to a win over the Aggies.

Breanah Manley led Legacy with 18 points.

Jenna Valenzuela scored 15 points, and Ashley Yancey contributed 12 for Arbor View.

Cheyenne 53, Faith Lutheran 45 — At Cheyenne, Shaunice Cameron and Hannah Tatum each scored 13 points as the Desert Shields toppled the Crusaders.

Cameron added 10 rebounds. Britnee Shaw chipped in with 10 points for Cheyenne.

Kelsey McCourt had 15 points for Faith Lutheran.

Penrith (Australia) 46, Boulder City 38 — At Boulder City, Penrith battled back from a 29-19 halftime deficit to top the Eagles.

Jessi Forrester led the Eagles with 11 points.

Agassi Prep 55, The Meadows 18 — At Calvary Chapel, Alannah Conway scored 24 points to lead the Stars to an easy win over the Mustangs.

Kayla Johnson added 13 points for Agassi Prep.

Adelaide Lopez scored eight points to lead Meadows.

Moapa Valley 37, Mountain View 29 — At Moapa Valley, Shilo Parashonts scored 13 points to help the Pirates beat the Saints.

Jordan Leavitt and Caley Dunlap supplied eight points each for Moapa Valley.

Patrice Marshall scored a game-high 15 points for Mountain View, and Zari Riley added nine points and 10 rebounds.

Indian Springs 47, Adelson School 19 — At Indian Springs, Heather Thormahlen scored 13 points to lead the Thunderbirds in a rout of the Lions.

Kristina Espinoza had 10 points for Indian Springs.

Alexes Settle scored nine points to lead Adelson.

Henderson International 52, Laughlin 34 — At Henderson International, Brittany Huff had 23 points to lead the Wolverines past the Cougars.

Needles 69, Calvary Chapel 36 — At Needles, Calif., Gena Chavira scored 21 points and Alex Chandler added 19 to power the Mustangs past the Lions.
