ROUNDUP: McCourt powers Crusader girls to home win over Cheyenne

Kelsey McCourt scored 14 points Tuesday to lift Faith Lutheran’s girls basketball team to a 45-41 home win over Cheyenne.

Joi Goynes had nine points, and Sam Leonard added eight points for the Crusaders.

Hannah Tatum paced Cheyenne with 12 points. 

Palo Verde 62, Cimarron-Memorial 39 — At Palo Verde, Jasmin Kiley scored eight of her 18 points during a 22-5 third-quarter run that lifted the Panthers past the Spartans.

Dominique Bryant, Nicole Ameli and Lily Tapusoa added 10 points apiece for Palo Verde.

Traci Parks led Cimarron with 13 points.

Centennial 79, Shadow Ridge 15 — At Centennial, Jada Brown had 22 points, and the Bulldogs took leads of 29-0 after one quarter and 58-5 at the half on their way to an easy win.

Ashley Klemz scored 12, and Breanna Workman added 11 points for Centennial.

Legacy 41, Arbor View 27 — At Arbor View, Latia Mathews had 13 points, and Shakita Cox scored 11 to help lead the Longhorns past the Aggies.

Candace McFarland added eight points for Legacy, which led 34-17 after three quarters.

Jena Valenzuela led the Aggies with 16 points.

Durango 51, Spring Valley 37 — At Spring Valley, Megan Boucher poured in 24 points, and the

Trailblazers grabbed a 21-10 halftime lead en route to a win over the Grizzlies.

De’Tiese Moore paced Spring Valley with 11 points.

Bishop Gorman 74, Western 22 — At Gorman, Amber Lane tallied 17 points, and the Gaels sprinted to leads of 33-8 after one quarter and 51-11 at the half on their way to an easy win over the Warriors.

Zhane Dikes and Chelsie Pitt each added 14 points for Gorman.

Brandi Jackson and Brittany Moreland each scored six points for Western.

Desert Oasis 46, Clark 32 — At Desert Oasis, Tatiana Kearn drained four 3-pointers in the third quarter and finished with 20 points to lead the Diamondbacks past the Chargers.

Auburn Smith added 14 points for Desert Oasis.

Michelle Garcia had 12 points, and Jacqueline Garcia scored 11 for Clark.

Sierra Vista 63, Pahrump Valley 33 — At Pahrump, Jeanette Jackson scored 17 points as the Mountain Lions routed the Trojans.

Jasmine Suarez had 16 points, including four 3-pointers, and Jewels Price added 15 points for Sierra Vista.

Sara Williams scored 14 points for Pahrump, which opened the game on a 10-0 run.

Virgin Valley 58, Sunrise Mountain 42 — At Mesquite, Rachel Morris scored 12 points, and Cassidy Crandall added 11 points to lead the Bulldogs past the Miners.

Jasmine Jones paced Sunrise Mountain with 15 points.

Boulder City 52, Bonanza 22 — At Bonanza, Mallory Bird scored 11 points, and the Eagles raced to a 29-9 halftime lead and cruised past the Bengals.

Taylor McKeever added eight points for Boulder City.

Denetrius Martin led the Bengals with 15 points.

Moapa Valley 43, Rancho 38 — At Rancho, Ashley Noto scored 13 points, and Amanda Campbell grabbed 22 rebounds as the Pirates edged the Rams.

Shelby Denman-Gray added eight points for Moapa Valley.

Kanosha Grey led Rancho with 11 points, and Mariah Coleman added 10 points for the Rams.

Calvary Chapel 46, The Meadows 24 — At Calvary Chapel, Phallon Nelson scored 14 points, and Marissa Bonnefin supplied 12 points to lead the Lions to an easy victory over the Mustangs.

Sarah Aziz scored 10 points to lead the Mustangs.

Mountain View 48, Lake Mead 27 — At Lake Mead, Briana Marruffo had 13 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals to help the Saints top the Eagles.

Patrice Marshall added 12 points, six rebounds and five steals, and Jordan Davison scored 11 for Mountain View.

Heather Hillenbrand led Lake Mead with 10 points.

Indian Springs 53, Adelson School 20 — At Indian Springs, Karys Melgoza racked up 21 points, six rebounds and seven steals to lead the Thunderbirds past the Lions.

Sueleika Blackwell led Adelson with nine points.

Agassi Prep 43, Laughlin 27 — At Laughlin, Alannah Conway and Kayla Johnson scored 10 points each to lead the Stars past the Cougars.
Diana Durazo paced Laughlin with 13 points.
