Roundup: Pahrump tops Boulder City despite two scoreless quarters

Kylie Stritenberger had 12 points on Monday to lead Pahrump Valley’s girls basketball team to a 26-24 home win over Boulder City.

The Trojans were held scoreless in the first quarter and third quarters. They outscored Boulder City 11-1 in the second quarter to take an 11-9 halftime lead.

The Eagles scored the only three points of the third quarter to take a 12-11 lead entering the final period.

Hannah Estes had 11 points for Boulder City.

Desert Pines 38, Eldorado 19 — At Desert Pines, Elasjanae Burns had 14 points and 19 rebounds to lead the Jaguars past the Sundevils.

Destiny Weathers had 11 points for Desert Pines, which led 16-5 at the half.

Eldorado’s Ingiy Inman and Joniesha Thomas each scored five points.

Desert Oasis 62, Clark 18 — At Desert Oasis, Desi-Rae Young scored 17 points to lead the Diamondbacks to a victory over the Chargers.

Dajaah Lightfoot added 12 points for Desert Oasis, which led 13-4 after one quarter.

Marieka Dent and Julia Reid each scored five points to lead Clark.

Spring Valley 65, Bonanza 24 — At Bonanza, Garrisen Freeman had 15 points as the Grizzlies routed the Bengals.

Deja McDonald added 10 points, and Alexus Quaadman grabbed 10 rebounds for Spring Valley, which played without star guards Kayla Harris and Essence Booker.

JV Moapa Valley 48, Beaver Dam 19 — At Overton, Kayla Walters led the Pirates with 11 points as they defeated the Diamondbacks.

Danielle Garlick led Beaver Dam with 12 points.
