ROUNDUP: Rancho girls use big third quarter to ground Skyhawks

Rancho’s girls basketball team outscored visiting Silverado 20-8 in the third quarter Friday en route to a 61-51 victory.
Darje Martin and Kanosha Gray each scored 16 points for the Rams, who trailed 28-26 at the half.
LaKissa Martin added 14 points for Rancho.
Silverado’s Brittany Loguidice scored 17 of her team’s 19 points in the first quarter and finished with 36 points.
Las Vegas 61, Valley 53 — At Las Vegas, Shomari Harris had 31 points and six assists to help the Wildcats hold on for a win over the Vikings.
Matti Ventling added 12 points and eight rebounds for Las Vegas.
Kennedy Wharton scored 24 points to lead Valley, which fell short with a late rally. Gabby Cabanero added 15 points for the Vikings.
Canyon Springs 60, Green Valley 41 — At Canyon Springs, Cherise Beynon had 15 points, 17 rebounds, seven assists and four steals to help the Pioneers defeat the Gators.
Daijhan Cooks added 13 points and 20 rebounds for Canyon Springs, and teammate Alexia Thrower finished with seven points, 23 rebounds and three steals.
Maggie Manwarren led Green Valley with 16 points.
Liberty 64, Foothill 49 — At Foothill, Paris Strawther had 19 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Patriots over the Falcons.
Sydney Clark had 14 points, and Jamellia Clark added 11 rebounds for Liberty, which got nine points, five rebounds and five assists from Kealy Brown.
Taylor Turney had 20 points and six assists, and teammate Anaya Rodisha scored 10 points for Foothill.
Del Sol 65, Eldorado 58 — At Eldorado, Chloe Cabanas had 16 points to power the Dragons over the Sundevils.
Azhwalaee Oliver added 12 points, and Brittany Collins scored 11 for Del Sol, which led 16-9 after one quarter.
Denisheun Jackson led Eldorado with 24 points, and teammate Desia Walker scored 22.
Arbor View 57, Sierra Vista 40 — At Arbor View, the Aggies outscored the Mountain Lions 26-16 in the second half to pull away and secure the victory.
Dana Lewis scored a game-high 16 points, and Janae Strode added 11 points to lead Arbor View.
Enas Ajaj scored 15 points for Sierra Vista.
Palo Verde 56, Shadow Ridge 43 — At Palo Verde, Jade Garcia-Williams and Ioana Ganeva each scored 14 points to help the Panthers rally past the Mustangs.
Paulina Silcox added 10 points for Palo Verde.
Kaila Hurley scored 14 points to lead Shadow Ridge, which led 12-10 at the end of the first quarter.
Durango 59, Spring Valley 37 — At Spring Valley, Jazmine Chavez had 21 points, 14 rebounds and eight steals to lead the Trailblazers over the Grizzlies.
Brittany Romo added 21 points, eight rebounds and four steals for Durango.
Jana Espiritu led Spring Valley with 19 points.
Coronado 58, Basic 22 — At Basic, Ashley Johnson and Sofie Cruz scored 14 points apiece to help the Cougars roll past the Wolves.
Victoria Harris and Feti Sini each scored six points to lead Basic, which trailed 28-9 at halftime.
Clark 57, Mojave 43 — Bobbi Floyd had 17 points, and Johnice Bland scored 16 to lead the Chargers over the Rattlers.
Karlicia Strougther added 10 points for Clark.
Mojave’s Rayena Rael had 11 points, and teammates Jeanette Washington and Mark’el Buie each scored 10.
Western 61, Tech 29 — At Tech, Destiny Gonzalez had 18 points, and the Warriors jumped out to a 20-3 lead after one quarter en route to the win.
Paea Sovou added 12 points, and Guadalupe Herrera scored 11 for Western.
Carla Valle led the Roadrunners with 14 points.
Cheyenne 29, Pahrump Valley 16 — At Pahrump, Larice Harper and Lajuana Brown each scored seven points to lead the Desert Shields past the Trojans.
Kayla Skilling scored nine points to lead Pahrump, which was held to five field goals.
Virgin Valley 46, Pahranagat Valley 34 — At Mesquite, Abbie Barnard scored 16 points to help the Bulldogs beat the Panthers.
Kourtney Metzger added 14 points for Virgin Valley, which broke it open with a 13-6 second-quarter run.
Bailee Hosier led Pahranagat Valley with 17 points, and Traci Strong scored 14 for the Panthers.
Mountain View 45, Laughlin 41 — At Mountain View, the Saints held off a late rally to get a victory over the Cougars.
Kiley Murphy scored 21 points to lead Mountain View, which held a 38-26 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.
Diana Durazo led Laughlin with 14 points, and teammate Katelyn Skillingstad added 13 points.
Lincoln County 47, The Meadows 30 — At The Meadows, Jaycee Wadsworth scored 16 points to lead the Lynx over the Mustangs.
Casey Barber paced The Meadows with nine points.
Needles 53, Agassi Prep 32 — At Needles, Lexus Rodriguez scored 22 points to lift the Mustangs over the Stars.
Abby Chandler added 14 points for Needles.
Boulder City 62, Aussie Travelers (Australia) 43 — At Boulder City, the Eagles jumped out to a 24-2 lead en route to the win.
Freshman Megan Morton had a season-high 18 points to lead Boulder City, and teammate Whitney Barlow scored 17.
