Roundup: Spring Valley knocks off nationally ranked Regis Jesuit

Spring Valley’s girls basketball team took the lead with 46 seconds to play on Thursday and held on for a 47-45 win over Regis Jesuit (Colorado) in the La Jolla (California) Sweet 16 Tournament.
The Raiders entered the game ranked No. 20 nationally by MaxPreps.
Garrisen Freeman had 13 points and six rebounds for the Grizzlies, and made a late free throw to give the Grizzlies their final margin.
Essence Booker had 13 points, six steals and three assists for Spring Valley, and Kayla Harris had four points and six assists.
Basic 51, Chaparral 50 — At Chaparral, Destiny Bird scored 16 points, including the game-winning basket with 20 seconds left, as the Wolves nipped the Cowboys.
Mikayla Berg and Jasmine Richardson each added nine points for Basic, which trailed 37-26 entering the fourth quarter.
Riahana Davis scored 17 points, and teammate Brizeida Mora had 10 for Chaparral.
Sierra Vista 49, Del Sol 22 — At Sierra Vista, Shania Harper had 14 points and 16 rebounds as the Mountain Lions rolled over the Dragons.
Iymoni Burrell had 10 points for Sierra Vista.
Lajaei West led Del Sol with 14 points.
Durango 53, Las Vegas 32 — At Las Vegas High, Analiyah Matthews poured in 28 points as the Trailblazers beat the Wildcats.
Dar’Juanah Harris and Laila Loring each added nine points for Durango, which outscored Las Vegas 20-11 in the third quarter to take a 44-22 lead.
Xeda Regala paced the Wildcats with 13 points, and teammate Cortney Stark scored 11.
Valley 52, Tech 40 — At Valley, Jeuzel Pollins had 22 points, four rebounds and three assists to lead the Vikings to victory over the Roadrunners.
Demari Sprinkle-Blakney added 13 points and 13 rebounds for Valley, and teammate Debra Schuster had eight points and 12 rebounds.
Claira Eaton had 10 points for Tech.
Foothill 60, Farrington (Hawaii) 39 — At Foothill, Keilani Brown had 13 points to lead the Falcons over the Governors.
Kaylee Hall, Jailyn Johnson and Bri Rosales all scored 10 points for the Falcons.
Sunrise Mountain 59, Somerset-Losee 7 — At Sunrise Mountain, Laila Whittington scored 16 points as the Miners routed the Lions.
Trinity Lavoll had 13 points, and Dior Griffith-Brown scored 10 for Sunrise Mountain, which jumped out to a 26-2 lead after the first quarter.
Faith Humes scored four points to pace Somerset-Losee.
Bishop Manogue 60, Bishop Gorman 56 — At Reno, the Miners held off a late comeback try by the Gaels to earn the win.
Manogue led 48-37 entering the fourth quarter. Gorman trimmed the margin to 57-52 with 90 seconds left, but Manogue held on.
Laughlin 41, Adelson School 15 — At Laughlin, the Cougars rolled past the Lions.
Eureka 46, Round Mountain 42 — At Wells, the Vandals edged the Knights in the Wells Rural Electric Tournament.
Lake Mead Holiday Classic
Clark 55, The Meadows 6 — At Calvary Chapel, Mia Rodas scored 10 points as the Chargers blitzed the Mustangs in the Lake Mead Holiday Classic.
Marieka Dent added seven points for Clark, which had 12 players score and led 53-0 after three quarters.
Clark 42, Boulder City 29 — At Calvary Chapel, Julie Reid had 18 points to lead the Chargers past the Eagles.
Adia Williams and Marieka Dent each added six points for Clark, which outscored Boulder City 16-6 in the second quarter.
Keely Alexander scored nine to lead Boulder City.
Lincoln County 52, SLAM Academy 9 — At Calvary Chapel, Brooklyn Hafen scored 20 points as the Lynx routed the Bulls in the Lake Mead Holiday Classic.
Sadie Soderborg added 11 points for Lincoln County, which led 20-0 after one quarter and 31-2 at the half.
Lincoln County 51, West Wendover 28 — At Calvary Chapel, Brynlee Wadsworth scored 14 points to power the Lynx past the Wolverines.
Soderborg had 11 points, and Hafen scored 10 for Lincoln County.
Leonela Covarrubias led West Wendover with nine points.
Virgin Valley 58, Calvary Chapel 23 — At Calvary Chapel, Natalie Lagamayo scored 12 points as the Bulldogs routed the Lions.
Alexis Boatright added 11 points for Virgin Valley, which led 18-5 after one quarter.
Tyra Perkins scored 10 to lead Calvary Chapel.
Moapa Valley 59, Lake Mead 29 — At Lake Mead, Lainey Cornwall led three double-figure scorers with 15 points as the Pirates beat the Eagles.
Shelbi Walker scored 13 points, and Kaitlyn Anderson had 11 points for Moapa Valley.
Jilian Morejon had nine points for Lake Mead.
Lake Mead 36, Calvary Christian (Calif.) 26 — At Lake Mead, the Eagles outscored the Royal Knights 19-5 in the second half to earn the victory.
Calvary Chapel 2, Coronado JV 0 — At Calvary Chapel, the Lions defeated the Cougars junior varsity by forfeit in the Lake Mead Holiday Classic.
