Roundup: Teionni McDaniel leads Cheyenne past Rancho

Teionni McDaniel had 27 points, five rebounds and five steals to lead Cheyenne’s girls basketball team to a 54-43 home win over Rancho on Friday.

Almond Slayton added 10 points and seven rebounds, and Germanie White scored 10 for the Desert Shields.

Kyndal Ricks led Rancho with 15 points.

Mojave 52, Eldorado 35 — At Mojave, Kiara Lemon poured in 26 points as the Rattlers defeated the Sundevils.

Alecia Kelly added nine points for Mojave, which outscored Eldorado 15-3 in the fourth quarter.

Joniesha Thomas led the Sundevils with 12 points.

Faith Lutheran 46, Silverado 35 — At Silverado, Madison Bocobo scored 12 points to help the Crusaders top the Skyhawks.

Jessica Guzman had a game-high 13 points to lead Silverado.

Canyon Springs 51, Legacy 38 — At Canyon Springs, Jeanette Fine scored 16 points to lead the Pioneers past the Longhorns.

Ke’Ajanae Haley added nine points for Canyon Springs, which opened the game on a 19-7 run.

Rory Carter scored 12 points, and Sam Greene scored 10 points to lead Legacy.

Durango 40, Desert Pines 34 — At Desert Pines, Analiyah Matthews scored 24 points as the Trailblazers took down the Jaguars.

Laila Loring had 11 points for Durango, which got all its scoring from three players. Dar’Juanah Harris had five points.

Elasjanae Burns scored 15 to lead the Jaguars.

Desert Oasis 63, Sierra Vista 32 — At Sierra Vista, Kalena Halunajan had 18 points as the Diamondbacks rolled past the Mountain Lions.

Ahmaya Smith added 14 points, and Dajaah Lightfoot scored 12 for Desert Oasis, which led 40-14 at the half.

Iymoni Burrell paced Sierra Vista with nine points.

Boulder City 43, Valley 36 — At Valley, Hannah Estes had 11 points to lead the Eagles to victory over the Vikings.

Valley’s Jeuzel Pollins led all scorers with 16 points, and teammate Lauryn Shockley scored 10.

Centennial 72, Oregon City (Ore.) 60 — At Honolulu, Eboni Walker poured in 22 points as the Bulldogs rallied from a 15-7 first-quarter deficit to defeat the Pioneers in the semifinals of the Iolani Classic.

Justice Ethridge hit five 3-pointers and had 21 points for Centennial, which used a 19-9 third-quarter run to seize control.

Brooke Bullock paced Oregon City with 19 points.

Democracy Prep 59, Calvary Chapel 54 — At Democracy Prep, Sharmayne Finley scored 32 to lead the Blue Knights past the Lions.

Tyanna Drummond scored eight points for Democracy Prep, which led 34-23 at halftime.

Tyra Perkins scored 22 points to lead Calvary Chapel. Kyra Cornelson added 16 points, and Talina Inguanzo scored 10 for the Lions.

Del Sol 41, Sky Pointe 4 — At Del Sol, Markay Merchant scored 10 points to lead the Dragons in a rout of the Eagles.

Del Sol led 21-0 after one quarter.

Lincoln County 42, Mountain View 8 — At Panaca, Sadie Soderborg scored 12 points as the Lynx routed the Saints.

Jordan Spriggs had six points for Mountain View, which didn’t score in the first half and trailed 30-2 at the half.

Pahranagat Valley 42, Coleville 40 — At Virginia City, the Panthers rallied from a 17-11 halftime deficit to nip the Wolves in the Comstock Classic.
