ROUNDUP: Two Desert Shields post double-doubles in rout of Shadow Ridge

Taryn Hicks had 18 points, 14 rebounds and five assists Thursday as Cheyenne’s girls basketball team routed visiting Shadow Ridge, 72-35.

Hannah Tatum added 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Britnee Shaw had 11 points for the Desert Shields, who grabbed a 32-15 halftime lead.

Niki Lawson paced the Mustangs with nine points.

Arbor View 55, Cimarron-Memorial 33 — At Arbor View, Jena Valenzuela had 19 points and 10 rebounds as the Aggies built a 29-14 halftime lead and cruised past the Spartans.

Ashley Dawkins added 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Erika Lang had 11 points for Arbor View.

Leilani Blanco and Kiana Carter each scored 10 points Cimarron.

Green Valley 76, Coronado 34 — At Green Valley, Jazmine Jarvis had 23 points and six assists as the Gators jumped to a 45-17 halftime lead and breezed past the Cougars.

Sarah Pickus added 19 points and Danielle Christenson had 13 for Green Valley. Shavon Stevens had 11 points and eight steals for the Gators.

Nicole Ruffino led Coronado with nine points.

Foothill 47, Tech 39 — At Foothill, Cheryl Harless scored 17 points to help the Falcons top Tech.

Bri Higgins added nine points and 13 rebounds for Foothill, which led 42-20 entering the fourth quarter and held on for the win.

Mesha Phillps had 17 points and Julie Harless added 11 for the Roadrunners.

Lincoln County 47, Moapa Valley 42 — At Overton, Marissa Smerek had 19 points to lead the Lynx past the Pirates.

Shilo Parashonts led Moapa Valley with 11 points and seven rebounds.

Lake Mead 84, The Meadows 22 — At Lake Mead, Emily Dean scored 20 points to lead the Eagles in a rout of the Mustangs.

Jordan Clarke added 17 points, Jocelyn Cox had 14 and Sam Herman contributed 12 for Lake Mead.

West Wendover 60, Elko JV 46 — At West Wendover, Danika Sharp had 33 points, 10 rebounds, 12 steals and four blocked shots to carry the Wolverines to the win.
