Silverado Girls Basketball 2012-2013 Capsule

Head coach: Dean Bosch, second season

2011-12 record: 10-16 (4-10 Southeast)

Returning letter winners (starters): Five (three)

Top players: G Brittany Loguidice (Sr.), F Jasmyn Garcia (Sr.), G Nicole D'Arpa (Sr.), G A.J. Hodas (Sr.)

Outlook: Loguidice is back after averaging 12 points and 2.6 assists per game and has plenty of help around her.

Garcia averaged 7.2 ppg and 5.9 rebounds per game. D'Arpa (4.5 ppg, 2.8 apg) and Hodas (4.0 ppg) also should contribute.

"We return four of our top five scorers, and each of them is capable of having a big game on any night," Bosch said. "We will be lacking height again this year, so we will be looking to play uptempo.

"Depth will be a concern for us, and we need some underclasmen to fill some key roles. While we are in a very competitive league, we feel we have a team that is ready to compete for a playoff spot."
