2015 Agassi Prep Football Capsule

AGASSI PREP

League: Division III Southern

Head coach: Isaac Watts, first season

2014 record: 8-3 (6-1 Southern, second)

Base offensive set: Spread

Base defensive set: 4-3

Top offensive players: RB Stephan Laushaul (Sr.); QB Jonas Patterson (Sr.); TE/RB Zeivaun Ned (Jr.)

Top defensive players: DB KeZaun Cooper (Sr.); DB Stephan Laushaul (Sr.)

Key losses: RB/DB Kobe Williams

Outlook: Agassi Prep made it all the way to the Division III state semifinals a season ago after losing just one regular-season league contest.

The Stars are fit to make another deep run this season, but they will have to do it without Williams, who was named an all-league performer at running back.

Laushaul, who ran for 897 yards and 15 touchdowns last season, returns as one of the team's best playmakers and all-around performers. He will anchor the team's spread offense and get help from upperclassmen Patterson and Ned.

First-year coach Watts said he hopes "to win the division and have a home playoff berth" and that his goal is "to win a championship."
