2015 All-State Football Team

FIRST TEAM OFFENSE
QB Matt Denn, Reed (5-10, 185)
The senior was the Northern Region and High Desert League Player of the Year. Denn passed for 2,277 yards and 30 TDs and rushed for 1,282 yards and seven TDs.
QB Tate Martell, Bishop Gorman (5-11, 187)
The junior passed for 2,608 yards and 32 TDs, and rushed for 604 yards and nine TDs. Martell was selected to the All-Southwest League first team. He has committed to Texas A&M.
RB Biaggio Ali Walsh, Bishop Gorman (5-10, 181)
The junior rushed for 2,451 yards and 33 TDs. Ali Walsh averaged 12.1 yards per carry, and caught three TD passes. He was the Southwest League Offensive MVP.
RB Jorden Carter, Reed (5-8, 175)
The senior was the High Desert League Offensive Player of the Year after rushing for 1,844 yards and 23 TDs.
RB Isaiah Morris, Desert Pines (5-8, 155)
The junior rushed for 1,461 yards and 19 TDs, averaging 12.0 yards per carry. Morris was a first-team Division I-A all-state pick by the coaches.
WR Tyjon Lindsey, Bishop Gorman (5-9, 170)
The junior caught 45 passes for 1,117 yards and 14 TDs. Lindsey was a first-team All-Southwest League pick.
WR R.J. Hubert, Moapa Valley (6-0, 185)
The senior caught 41 passes for 783 yards and nine TDs and rushed for 727 yards and 15 TDs. Hubert returned five kickoffs for scores. He was selected the Division I-A state Offensive Player of the Year by the coaches.
WR Elijah Sapico, Damonte Ranch (6-2, 185)
The senior was the Sierra League Offensive Player of the Year. Sapico caught 69 passes for 856 yards and nine TDs. He was selected to the All-Northern Region team.
TE Parker Houston, Reed (6-3, 230)
The senior was the Northern Region and High Desert League Lineman of the Year. Houston caught 42 passes for 377 yards and 6 TDs. He has committed to San Diego State.
OL Jaron Caldwell, Bishop Gorman (6-4, 309)
The senior helped the Gaels average 287.1 rushing yards. A second-team All-Southwest League pick, Caldwell has committed to UNLV.
OL Nathan Edwards, Galena (6-4, 240)
The senior was the Sierra League Lineman of the Year. Edwards was selected to the All-Northern Region team at offensive tackle.
OL Alex Epstein, Liberty (6-2, 270)
The senior was a first-team All-Northeast League pick at center. Epstein helped the Patriots average 446.3 yards of offense.
OL Julio Garcia, Bishop Gorman (6-3, 310)
The senior was a first-team All-Southwest League selection, helping the Gaels average 472.9 yards of offense. Garcia has committed to UNLV.
OL Keenen King, Arbor View (6-5, 305)
The senior was a first-team All-Northwest League pick at tackle. King, who has committed to Washington State, helped the Aggies average 283.7 rushing yards.
ATH Devion Clayton, Silverado (6-3, 193)
The senior had 43 catches for 741 yards and seven TDs. Clayton also returned two kickoffs for touchdowns and rushed for a score. He made the All-Northwest League first team at receiver.

FIRST TEAM DEFENSE
DL Haskell Garrett, Bishop Gorman (6-2, 279)
The junior was the Southwest League's Defensive MVP. Garrett had 53 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and six sacks. He missed four games with a shoulder injury.
DL Nick Gregg, Reed (6-2, 282)
The senior was the Northern Region and High Desert League Defensive Player of the Year. The defensive tackle had 70 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and eight sacks. He has committed to UNR.
DL T.J. Mauga, Churchill County (6-3, 250)
The junior was picked as the state's Division I-A Defensive Player of the Year by the coaches. Mauga had 87 tackles, 26 tackles for loss and 10 sacks for the I-A state champs.
DL Greg Rogers, Centennial (6-4, 311)
The junior had 64 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and six sacks. He was selected to the All-Northwest League's first team at defensive tackle.
DL Angel Torres, Desert Pines (6-0, 270)
The senior was the Defensive MVP in the Division I-A Southern Region and Sunrise League. Torres had 57 tackles and nine sacks.
LB Collin Crown, McQueen (6-0, 190)
The senior had 116 tackles, 14 sacks and 13 tackles for loss. He intercepted two passes and returned a fumble for a TD in earning All-Northern Region honors.
LB Matt Garcia, Reed (6-0, 200)
The junior had 62 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and 5½ sacks. Garcia was an All-Northern Region and first-team All-High Desert League selection.
LB Farrell Hester, Bishop Gorman (6-0, 236)
The junior led the Gaels with 97 tackles, including 9½ tackles for loss and four sacks. Hester also intercepted two passes and made the All-Southwest League first team.
LB Ikela Lewis, Carson (6-0, 180)
The senior was the Sierra League Defensive Player of the Year. Lewis had 104 tackles, a sack and an interception and was an All-Northern Region pick.
LB Teyjean Thomas, Basic (6-2, 215)
The senior was the Southeast League's Defensive MVP. Thomas had 114 tackles, seven sacks and two interceptions.
DB Damuzeha Bolden, Bishop Gorman (6-3, 175)
The junior had 55 tackles and three interceptions. The safety was a first-team All-Southwest League pick and has committed to Southern California.
DB Asa Carter, Carson (6-1, 185)
The senior was the Sierra League Player of the Year. He had 63 tackles and three interceptions. He also was the Northern Region Offensive Player of the Year after amassing 1,301 total yards.
DB Noah Noce, Arbor View (5-10, 180)
The senior had 76 tackles, including five tackles for loss and intercepted four passes. He was a first-team All-Northwest League selection at safety.
DB Alex Perry, Bishop Gorman (5-10, 162)
The junior had three interceptions and 27 tackles. Perry also had 4½ tackles for loss and a sack. A first-team All-Southwest League pick, Perry has committed to Arizona State.
K/P Kealii Maruyama, Foothill (5-9, 200)
The junior averaged 47.7 yards per punt. He also handled kickoffs and had 25 touchbacks. He made the All-Southeast League first team.

SECOND TEAM OFFENSE
QB Kenyon Oblad, Liberty (6-3, 170)
The sophomore completed 62.3 percent of his passes for 3,106 yards and 34 TDs. Oblad made the All-Northeast League first team.
QB Connor Richardson, Churchill County (6-1, 190)
The senior was selected the Division I-A state MVP by the coaches. Richardson completed 68.1 percent of his passes for 2,788 yards and 34 TDs. He also rushed for 585 yards and seven TDs.
RB Naim Geeslin, Legacy (5-11, 195)
The senior rushed for 1,366 yards and 16 TDs, averaging 9.7 yards per carry. Geeslin made the All-Southwest League's first team.
RB Justice Jackson, Foothill (5-8, 185)
The senior rushed for 1,442 yards and 23 TDs. He was the Southeast League's Offensive MVP.
RB Christian Marshall, Faith Lutheran (5-9, 175)
The junior rushed for 1,255 yards and 22 TDs and caught 27 passes for 471 yards and three scores. He was selected to the Division I-A all-state team by the coaches.
WR Ethan Dedeaux, Liberty (5-9, 175)
The junior caught 37 passes for 809 yards and 11 TDs and also rushed for 237 yards and four scores. Dedeaux was a first-team All-Northeast League selection.
WR Robert Ferrel, Reed (5-7, 135)
The junior caught 54 passes for 981 yards and 15 TDs. Ferrel was an All-Northern Region and first-team All-High Desert League pick.
WR Savon Scarver, Centennial (5-11, 155)
The junior caught 51 passes for 896 yards and 11 TDs. He made the All-Northwest League first team.
TE Kyrin Allen, Elko (6-2, 190)
The junior caught 16 passes for 265 yards and six TDs. He was selected to the Division I-A all-state first team by the coaches.
OL Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu, Liberty (6-6, 365)
The massive junior guard helped the Patriots average 202.3 rushing yards. Aumavae-Laulu was a first-team All-Northwest League selection.
OL Ian Neeley, Reed (6-3, 260)
The senior was an All-Northern Region and first-team All-High Desert League selection at center.
OL Poutasi Poutasi, Desert Pines (6-3, 295)
The junior was picked as the Division I-A state Lineman of the Year by the coaches.
OL Tyler Roemer, Fernley (6-7, 295)
The senior was the Division I-A Northern League Lineman of the Year.
OL Caden Sink, Legacy (6-5, 285)
The senior was a first-team All-Southwest League pick at tackle. Sink helped open holes for an offense that averaged 229.4 rushing yards.
ATH Richard Nelson, Chaparral (6-1, 195)
The senior rushed for 558 yards and 10 TDs and caught 15 passes for 279 yards and four TDs. Nelson returned four interceptions for TDs and returned a kickoff for a score.

SECOND TEAM DEFENSE
DL Kendahl Blakely, Basic (6-1, 250)
The senior had 67 tackles and seven sacks. He was a first-team All-Southeast League pick at defensive end.
DL Nathan Edwards, Galena (6-4, 240)
The senior had 63 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and six sacks. Edwards was made the All-Northern Region team at defensive end.
DL Christian Khoury, Faith Lutheran (6-0, 235)
The senior had 59 tackles, five tackles for loss and 7½ sacks. He was selected to the Division I-A all-state first team by the coaches.
DL Gage Motl, Arbor View (6-3, 235)
The senior was the Northwest League's Defensive MVP and made the all-league first team at defensive end. Motl had 66 tackles and seven sacks.
DL Derriyon Shaw, Legacy (6-4, 225)
The senior had 48 tackles and seven sacks. Shaw was selected to the All-Southwest League first team. He has committed to Boise State.
LB Tishawn Barnaby, Centennial (5-10, 205)
The senior had 111 tackles and 5½ sacks. He was a first-team All-Northwest League pick.
LB Ka'imi Batoon, Liberty (5-10, 215)
The senior was the Northeast League Defensive MVP. Batoon had 72 tackles, 5½ tackles for loss and six sacks. He made the All-Northeast League first team.
LB Tony Fields, Desert Pines (6-2, 200)
The junior had 93 tackles, three sacks and two interceptions. Fields made the Division I-A All-Southern Region first team.
LB Palaie Gaoteote, Bishop Gorman (6-2, 210)
The sophomore had 92 tackles, three sacks and an interception. Gaoteote was selected to the All-Southwest League second team.
LB Jeremiah Pritchard, Silverado (5-11, 190)
The senior linebacker/safety hybrid led the Skyhawks in tackles and intercepted four passes. He made the All-Northeast League second team at strong safety.
DB Ethan Dedeaux, Liberty (5-9, 175)
The junior intercepted five passes, returning one for a touchdown. Dedeaux finished with 18 tackles.
DB Brian Evans, Basic (5-10, 160)
The senior intercepted three passes and had 42 tackles. He was a first-team All-Southeast League pick at cornerback.
DB Sean Hamilton, Foothill (6-1, 170)
The senior had 42 tackles and eight interceptions. He returned two interceptions for touchdowns. He was selected to the All-Southeast League first team at safety.
DB R.J. Hubert, Moapa Valley (6-0, 185)
The senior had 61 tackles and intercepted six passes. Hubert returned a fumble for a TD and an interception for another score. He has committed to Utah.
K/P Spencer Cofer, Green Valley (6-0, 185)
The senior made 9 of 13 field goals with a long of 51 yards. He was 44-for-46 on extra points, and booted 28 kickoffs for touchbacks. He made the All-Southeast league first team.

Coach of the Year
Ken Higbee, Pahranagat Valley
In his 19th season as head coach, Higbee guided the Panthers to their eighth consecutive 8-man state championship. Pahranagat Valley's 54-28 win over Whittell in the Division IV title game ran its winning streak to 93 games, tying a national 8-man record.
