Outlook: The Aggies have won the last four Northwest League titles, and figure to contend again this fall.
With last season’s leading rushers Hannie (994 yards) and Stubbs (949) gone, Graham figures to carry the load for Arbor View. He was a first-team All-Northwest pick at fullback last season after rushing for 634 yards and averaging 9.5 yards per carry.
Look for him to move to one of the wings and be the team’s No. 1 option.
Smith, a second-team All-Northwest pick last season, returns to anchor the line, and the Aggies generally are strong up front.
Bollinger is back for his second season at quarterback, and he showed some flashes as a junior. He completed 55.6 percent of his passes for 817 yards and 10 TDs, which isn’t bad for a team that averaged fewer than eight pass attempts a game.
Davis (63 tackles, 2 sacks) and Tuinei (75 tackles, 3 sacks) give the Aggies one of the area’s better linebacker tandems.
Scafati led the team with two interceptions last season.
Barnson’s expectation’s for the season are simple. “Win,” he said.
That’s something Arbor View has done plenty of in recent seasons, as the Aggies have 41 wins over the last four years. They’ve won 10 or more games in six of the last eight seasons.
