Benson helps Crusaders down Clark

Greg Benson passed for 266 yards, throwing for two of his three scores in the final 14:21 on Friday as Faith Lutheran's football team posted a 29-13 win at Clark.

Vinny DeGeorge caught a 36-yard TD pass in the first quarter, Sean Bischel caught a 14-yarder in the third and Anthony Pryatel-Farmer’s 12-yarder in the fourth capped the scoring.

Ricco Gonzales rushed for 51 yards, including a 5-yard TD, for Faith Lutheran (3-3, 1-1 I-A Sunset), and Trent Dolby kicked a 40-yard field goal.

Clark (0-6, 0-2), seeking its first win, stayed close for most of three quarters, getting a 65-yard TD run by Jordan Jenkins and a 17-yard TD pass from Anthony Bermudez to Juan Aguilar. A tying 2-point attempt after the latter score prevented the Chargers from tying the game.

Jenkins led all rushers with 110 yards on 11 carries, and Bermudez was 9 of 14 passing for 95 yards.
