Big second quarter propels Saints past Lions

Mountain View's football team started a bit slowly Friday, but used a four-touchdown outburst in the second quarter to pull away for a 58-0 win at Calvary Chapel.
Bernard Williams scored on runs of 5 and 63 yards in the second quarter for Mountain View (1-1, 1-0 Division III Southern), which also got a 13-yard TD run from quarterback Ian Locke and a 17-yard scoring run from Jacob Duldulao in the quarter. Locke finished with 112 yards on 10 carries.
Matt Larson’s 2-yard TD run in the first quarter allowed Mountain View to take a 7-0 lead, but penalties hampered the Saints until the second-quarter uprising.
Nick Jenkins returned an interception 55 yards for a touchdown early in the third quarter for Mountain View.
Quentin Ivey led Calvary Chapel (0-2, 0-1) with 31 yards rushing and 20 yards receiving.
