Brooks rushes for 265 yards as Diamondbcks hold off Mountain Lions

Desert Oasis' Kurtis Brooks ran for 265 yards and three touchdowns as the Diamondbacks (1-2) defeated host Sierra Vista (1-2) 33-26 on Friday.

Desert Oasis scored 26 unanswered points and was able to hold off Sierra Vista’s late comeback attempt.  The Lions scored with 45 seconds remaining in the game but couldn’t recover the onside kick.

Deyon McKinney finished with 141 yards of total offense and two touchdowns for Sierra Vista. Maliek Broady added 72 yards on 14 carries for the Lions.

Tim Jenkins led the Lions with 56 yards and three touchdowns receiving in the loss.
