Chaparral ground attack too tough for Western

Chaparral (2-1) compiled 228 yards in the first half to take a 21-0 lead and breezed to a victory 34-6 road win over Western (0-3) on Friday.

Tyquan Anderson rushed for 131 yards, 120 of them in the first half, highlighted by an 84-yard touchdown. Antonio Thomas had 95 by halftime and finished with 186 on 18 carries, with touchdowns of 42 and 28.

Quarterback Josh Jonshon added 59 yards and a touchdown on seven carries for Chaparral.
