Eldorado holds off Sunrise Mountain

Joshua Brown rushed for two touchdowns, including a 47-yard scamper, to lead Eldorado to a 16-12 win over host Sunrise Mountain on Friday.
The junior ended the night 4 of 10 passing for 21 yards and added 99 yards on the ground.
Eldorado running back Daveez Booth contributed 75 yards on 13 carries.
After a scoreless first quarter, Eldorado (1-2) had the game’s first two scores, one on the ground and the other by a safety.
Just before halftime, the Miners’ Darryl Colvin intercepted a pass, which led to a 17-yard touchdown pass from Wanya Calahan to Damon Heard.
Calahan finished 3 of 9 passing for 33 yards.
Sherman Nash had a 35-yard touchdown run on offense and added an interception on defense for Sunrise Mountain (1-3).
