Faith Lutheran QB Sagan Gronauer commits to Idaho State

He might be the best Southern Nevada quarterback in this year’s class, and he knows where he’s going to college.

Senior Sagan Gronauer announced his commitment to Idaho State on Wednesday through his Twitter account. His commitment is nonbinding and Idaho State coaches cannot comment on him until he signs his letter of intent.

Gronauer completed 55.3 percent of his passes last year for 2,307 yards and 22 touchdowns to eight interceptions. He also ran for 155 yards and six touchdowns. He was ranked the top Southern Nevada quarterback in this summer’s Nevada Preps rankings.

Gronauer will be the second Southern Nevada player in as many years to commit to Idaho State, joining Chaparral’s Tyray Collins form the last year’s class. Mojave’s Ty Flanagan and Bonanza’s Colton Bennion also play for Idaho State.

Faith Lutheran opens its season at home on Aug. 24 against Valor Christian (Colorado).
