Jaguars overcome early deficit, rout Del Sol

Desert Pines’ football team used its speed Friday to overcome an early 6-0 deficit and down visiting Del Sol, 48-6.

Del Sol jumped out to an early lead on a 9-yard run by Taaric Flowers, but Jon McCoy returned the ensuing kickoff 89 yards for the Jaguars to open the floodgates. Isaiah Morris totaled 152 all-purpose yards, including scoring runs of 39 and 36 yards as the Jaguars finished with 171 yards rushing on just 20 carries.

Marckell Grayson completed only five passes, but three went for touchdowns, two to Andre Watts, for Desert Pines (6-1, 4-1 Division I-A Sunrise).

Taaric Flowers managed 71 yards on 20 carries for Del Sol (3-4, 1-4).
