Laughlin scores early, often in rout of Mountain View

Laughlin’s football team scored twice in the first minute of the game on Wednesday on the way to a 46-14 road victory over Mountain View.
Cougars quarterback Diego Trujillo completed his only pass of the day for a 55-yard touchdown to Josh Furr with 11:24 to go in the first quarter. But the running game was what led the Cougars to victory.
Laughlin running back Malik Ksouri had three rushes for 54 yards and one touchdown, and the Cougars rushed for 178 yards. Dherick Asis and Axel Valdez combined for 61 rushing yards and two touchdowns for Laughlin.
The Cougars (5-4) forced three turnovers, including a 35-yard interception return for a touchdown by Diego Trujillo with 11:13 to go in the first quarter.
Jose Barton caught a 36-yard scoring pass from Nicholas Santana for Mountain View (0-6).
